Nigerians deserve every bit of punishment they receive from this government and the so called nonsense tax reform will be the nail on the coffin that finally puts this cursed country out of its miserable existence

Go California na and see price. Why use Atlanta?

Mumu man. It's like saying 3 bedroom house rent in Nigeria in cheap because you are renting the house in Zamfara state. Why don't you use Lagos State? Oga use California to compare.
Re: Petrol Is Cheaper In Atlanta Than In Nigeria - Kperogi by Ayoefa: 2:04pm On Nov 30, 2024
This one is always posting rubbish.
The fuel in Nigeria is premium fuel which is about 3 50 to 4 dollars per gallon in Atlanta . I know this because I buy this on weekly basis.
This confused write chose the cheapest gas price that he can find and jump on it
The price is also not static here oh, it can go from that 2 70 to over 3 dollars within a week.
Attention seeking fake prof.

Don't mind the idiot.
Go to NY and the rest of the NE corner, you will run.
He deliberately chose the cheapest price to compare. But he forgot that premium price in Atlanta around 4 dollars which is what rhey sell to all Nigerians.
The 2.70 is for cheap 87 octane fuel.
Not suitable for all cars.

The interesting part being that most of US oil is refined outside US and imported because most of their refineries refine heavy crude oil

So Nigeria processing its own crude but Nigerians still paying international market price shows you how corrupt your politicians are.

High levels of corruption everywhere but nobody is being sacked, doesn’t that tell you all you need to know?
Who permitted those politicians to form parties?

Am i the one?

Did they even seek permission from their parents?

What his 13-year old daughter earns in one day doing 5 hour shift is more than what these useless miscreants defending the drug bagman earns in a month!

Truly, they're cursed and wretched pigs as they're rightly called!

The lower fuel prices in America are facilitated by state subsidies aimed at counterbalancing a lack of comprehensive public transit options, as is the case in Western Europe.

For instance, the governor of Georgia, Governor Brian Kemp, recently decided to suspend fuel taxes in Georgia following Hurricane Helene, which temporarily reduced petrol prices to around $2.50 per gallon. This is typical all over the United States.
so let the nigerian states provide subsidies

kperogi is being disingenuous as he is taking the price of petrel in one state in the US - one with what seems to be the lowest price across the board. is the man also adopting trumpism - soundbite solutions for complex problems?

What he said is a dumb comparison. The average monthly rent for a two bedroom apartment in the US is $1300, converted to Naira that should be around 26 million naira a year.
If you pay mortgage the monthly average is $2200 a month and this should be around 45 million naira a year.
Is this what we spend on accommodation in Nigeria? He is comparing apples to oranges.
Your one year mortgage in the US will buy you a decent house in Nigeria.

All these na stories! Petrol cost in the US fluctuate with international market and it is always cheaper during winter.
In states like California and Illinois petrol cost higher so why not use those states to compare?
When it is summer come back and narrate this your story again, by then in places like California petrol will be $5 plus.
