The truth is Christian TV stations are more hence you are likely to find more Christian programs out there. Rather than blame GOTV, I think MURIC should encourage Ansarudeen, Nawalrudeen and other Islamic organizations to invest in broadcasting. That way you can have as many Islamic programs out there. Do you even know how many Muslims go to RCCG Holy Ghost services. I know a number of them and that's because Christianity is out there in people's faces.

false equivalence here. It is not like religious information is being superimposed on a regular channel but that a religious channel (by virtue of having the first channel number) has become the default channel you see on your screen when you turn the TV on rather than the last channel you watched.

Anyway, it is valid from MURIC and they clearly expressed the ask that they should revert the default channel to last previously watched.

I personally think it is a tech glitch which will be resolved asap. The normal practice is to see my last watched channel.

I don't know about previous statements, but MURIC is right to bring some advocacy on this. If not for religion, then at least for consumer service quality. When I put on my TV, it should show the last channel I watched and not the first channel number thereby forcing me to switch to another channel.

Please create your own Islamic version of DSTV, so that you would never be defiled. After all you are used to copying what Christians do. If DSTV chooses that as part of their contents, that’s their business.
