No....it was clapperboard TV then in satellite town Lagos.....AIT,DBN,Minaj all came later.

Galaxy is the first private TV station, they started in ibadan in those early years of private tv broadcasting. Only those who know, knows this. Everyone above trying to form ITK. Smh.

I remember that year in Kaduna when they started TV...notable presenters were Livinus otteh and Papa E.

This is either a case of poor management or how economically down the north is ....private media broadcasters are springing up daily that you can't even lay count anymore.

Cos in South of nigeria, with fake woli or pastor daily work program on radio, it has made fm radio business lucrative

Could be true. Galaxy has been operating in Ibadan years before opening a station in Lagos in the early 2000s. As far as those of us in Lagos can remember, it was DBN and Clapperboard that were the private TV stations that rescued us from the borefest called NTA in the early 90s. This Ditv claiming to be the first private TV station in Nigeria is not remotely familiar to me in anyway. Google says their station is in Ikeja Lagos and I've never heard of it? They should take it easy with the lies abeg

If their office is in Ikeja, that should be Agindingbi. They should be one distributing Cable Tv in late 90s

Hmm! One of my favorite analog TV channels as a boy in the early 2000s in KD. I remember Ghost busters, Sumurai X, and Adventures of Sam.
