I started keeping dreads 2023. It was war between I and my mum. One very morning as I was leaving to the studio she complained badly of my hair, saying it was terrible. That very day I was angry and inspired to draw this work I titled "Root".

Inspired by my previous work which was graphite pencil. I tried using charcoal to create another art and I was pleased with the work. I refused selling the work because I was so attached to it.

This came immediately after. It was my friend's dp for over a century

Listen to your mum. Why will you be keeping dreads, don't you know how the society view people that do dreads, even the police. You will be addressed the way you are dressed. Always be modest and decent appearance. dreads will not take you anywhere, has no gains. Society will only view you as a bad conduct and character.

Oga say na listen to your mum lol. That dreads helped me to be independent. I have always been the person everyone wants me to be. That little rebel made me independent and it's just the beginning
