What does " lesser devil' mean?

But if it's about contrasting obi and tinubu, obi is 1000% better than tinubu

Personality, leadership, spendthrift, profile, energetic, dedication, responsive, empathy that's obi

For tinubu

Crime, violence, wicked, lack of empathy, arrogance, desperate, controversy, extravagance, intolerance, cunny

SEGLIZ:
I have always said this, the more reason I voted him during the last general election. we were left with three options, all are but devil's but to me I have an option of choosing the lesser devil.

the statement simply implies, obi isn't a saint like people think his supporters are saying (his supporters aren't calling him saint obi,) but he is better off the other two. I new all these we are experiencing was our lot if tinubu should become president.

atiku would be returning us to same style of pdp that led us into this whole mess. not like pdp did anything rightly while in power they mess things so badly that Nigerians want a change but not this kind of tinubu change.

the you have to settle for JESUS.
yes , you are very right

You are a very dull student of history for typing the bolded.
During the regional government, Awolowo style of leadership override all other leaders from other regions and the result you are seeing today in terms of trade and finance in SW and others are attracted to this success
Awolowo style of welfarism leadership worked back then because we were in the formative era, it would fail woefully today. It is what Tinubu has been trying to replicate today not knowing that such era of welfarism is over. That is why every little thing Tinubu starts sharing rice and other forms of palliatives.

The world has gone past palliative system or welfarism system of government.

What we need is a capitalist style of government that will inspire wealth creation, business startups and massive healthy competition. It is after we have built and amassed wealth that we can revert back to welfarism government to distribute the wealth.

Right now, we need a government that will pioneer and inspire more businesses, investments and startups. We don't even need to copy Oyimbo in taxing ourselves to poverty like Tinubu is known for, we need to do everything possible to attract massive investment and inspire new business startups and one way to do them is to relax company and small business tax, reduced interest rate for business startup loans, improved power/electricity, improved national security to give investors confidence to come in and improved FOREX.

Yorubas are not good in all these, they are better in media propaganda and entertainment

If from all we have seen so far with Peter Obi and Adeyanju still goes ahead to associate Obi with devil then he is not yet ready to tell himself the bitter truth.

He should continue on his path of being half intelligent.

Obi is a motivational speaker not a political leader
Well I will still prefer a motivational speaker to a crook that only know how to teach his followers how to steal.

Anybody who is a good politician must be a good motivational speaker.

That is why u support a man who will lick a microphone before he speaks.

So you have experience talking to 47 million Yoruba's. When Abati implies that Igbo don't sell land to outsiders, you will be the first person to call him a bigot. Yet you are insulting the entire Yoruba race.

Europe and the Gulf states (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE) still practice "welfarism", which is why they have a high literacy rate and healthy children with nourished brains that lead to high IQs.

Nigeria should return to Awolowo's play book and take loans to fund primary health care and universal primary and secondary education.

This your concluding statement denigrating Yoruba is false, and it is borne out hatred for Tinubu
Sentiment apart, if you look at the Nigerian Business Directory, majority of the CEO of blue ship companies are Yorubas.

Tinubu that you hated with passion is doing what you listed above to attract investors and improve our GDP. If you notice imports are being discouraged to make sure export improves.

No, it wont work now. It will take us backward now. That time Awolowo implemented it in Western Nigeria was the best time for it not now, and that was why it worked back then. If you replicate it now it will fail. Tinubu have been trying to replicate it ignorantly and it's been failing.

Europe started practicing welfarism government after creating and amassing wealth. They then used welfarism system to ensure wealth distribution.

Golf countries started practicing Welfarism system after the discovery of large crude oil deposits in their lands with small populations. So they used that Welfarism system to ensure equitable distribution of wealth among their small population. Such system won't work in Nigeria that is a poor nation with huge population growth.

What we need is a system of government that will harness our population to create wealth, invent ideas and things we can export to earn FOREX like China, etc.

Welfarism system of government is for rich countries looking for ways to distribute wealth among their population, not for a poor country like Nigeria struggling to generate enough income albeit leadership corruption and looting.

I do not hate anybody, but I won't deny the fact that I dislike Tinubu's way of life and leadership.

Tinubu's lifestyle can never allow communal prosperity. Tinubu is a sectional leader, a close minded kind of person, he has wrong orientation and foundation. A sectional leader can never be a national leader.

Tinubu is selfish, and have this mindset of winner takes it all, such a person can never lead any nation to communal progress no matter how good he may be because his close minded nature wont allow him to give others outside his clan the opportunity to showcase their own skill, talent and expertise.

This is what makes Obasanjo far better than Tinubu. Obasanjo understood the weakness of every Nigerian tribe and he carefully assembled his cabinet and team bearing this in mind and his regime flourished despite corruption allegations which is common with black leaderships.

Goodluck did same and his regime prospered economically before APC used the evolving Boko Haram insecurity to disorganize Goodluck's regime.

I stand by my words, Yorubas are not good in economy, trade, business and entrepreneurship matters, they have their area of expertise which is in media propaganda which helps them to excel in Nigerian style politics, and they are also good in entertainment.

This does not mean that there are no good economists or entrepreneurs among Yorubas, of course talent abound everywhere and in all tribes and races but there are people naturally gifted in certain things and once you put them in charge of that area they have natural prowess they excel more than others who learned their own.

Even The Holy Bible recognized this God recognized this, reason God gave each of the 12 tribes of Israel their own special gifts and area of expertise.

The Levites were the natural Spiritual Leaders.

The Judah were the Kings

There were the Warrior tribes, the Traders, etc.

But Tinubu foolishly believes Yorubas are the best in everything and look at how messed up his government is, turning Nigeria to a global job and the headquarters of poverty, hardship and insecurity just because he foolishly made Yorubas heads of virtually all government agencies, ministries and parastatals and yet you Yorubas applaud him and think he is doing you guys good

You are getting it mixed up. European welfare started in the late 1800s when people were still poor and fighting each other. I am not suggesting that we have a program of employment benefits and health insurance. However, the country must have limited welfare programs, basic primary school programmes, and primary healthcare.

Jakande free education programme, low-cost housing scheme and affordable health care programme was in the 1980s, years after Awolowo universal education program in the 1950s

Germany
In 1883, Chancellor Otto von Bismarck introduced the Health Insurance Act, which was the first to require mandatory government-monitored health insurance. This legislation also included contributory retirement and disability benefits
Great Britain
In 1911, the Liberal government of Henry Campbell-Bannerman and David Lloyd George introduced the National Insurance system, which included the first insurance-based sickness and unemployment benefit
