I can't see Tinubu winning a reelection in 2027 because a whole lot of Nigerians are groaning and moaning. The Northerners who supported him massively in 2023 have already lost confidence in Him. The Tax reform Bill which is yet to be passed into law having scaled through a second reading is also another albatross to his reelection as Northerners stand united against the bill. Why the rush in trying to pass this bill when the necessary modalities haven't been put in place? Same thing he did in the removal of fuel subsidy and you can see where it has landed us. Also considering the hardship being experienced by Nigerians, the growing level of inflation and worsening insecurity are all factors that cast his reelection in doubt, as those who would help him Rig the election are not comfortable with his Policies. His policies have proven to be inimical and detrimental to the interest of the masses. Tinubu is a disaster. A monumental one at that. The worst president in Nigeria's History.

Try and see how you can be successful first. That should be the primary |

Tinubu's political game so far shows a courageous individual who cares more about the future generation than the next election. Not someone who asslicks because he wants to retain power to himself. |

Isn't that a good thing? That shows Tinubu cares more about improving Nigeria than being president. I'm sure Peter Obi would have done everything to suck the Northern pipe and that is precisely why he would never win. Nobody loves a beggar. |

| Re: Tinubu Is Gradually Losing The Support Of The Northerners by nairalanda1(m): 12:14pm On Dec 03, 2024 |
Yung6six:North did not support tinubu massively...infact, Atiku would have won the election of 2023, if not for Obi taking away votes in the SE, and Kano going to the NNPP, which enabled tinubu to eke out a small victory. Also, Tinubu only got one of the K states, Kaduna...narrowly. Kano went to NNPP, and Katsina went to PDP. Infact PDP picked up Northern states that in 2019 it should have not taken Also, in 2019, APC won the vote with 19 million. In 2023, APC only took 8.5 million votes. What we are seeing is a fall in APC votes that is ongoing. At the end, in 2027, APC would probably lose badly. The question is whether PDP can stay united enough, and whether Atiku can resist the temptation to run again. Also, Obi and co have to return to PDP. |

nairalanda1:The screts alignment that is going on between Atiku,Elrufai,Kwankwaso and Obi has never been seen in our history. In fact,so far they have had seven meetings in recent past. PDP is not in the picture,Labour Party is also not in the picture. But something big is coming up. |

If there is any further proof that Tinubu is a great leader, it is even this. He has proven that he will not because of fear of a reelection not do what he believes is right just to please some people. All previous leaders have known or got to know what the right thing to do but have been afraid to take these bold decisions opting instead to follow popular paths even though they know on the long run will not benefit anyone. When Singapore and China were taking those though decisions many years ago, there were many who complained but today, those countries have become leaders in their own rights. |

So remove ur mind from 2027.... Focus on how to stop his third term... He will use Apkabio ND the rest to convert the country to parliamentary govt system ND continue leadership in the guess of a new constitution..... Get ready to fight that.... |
| Re: Tinubu Is Gradually Losing The Support Of The Northerners by UltraSolid: 2:49pm On Dec 03, 2024 |
danvon:Absolutely. Also, Tinubu is obsessed with succeeding where Awolowo, Abiola and OBJ failed. He realize that appeasing the North, with eyes on a second term, can never work despite their electoral value. Southern Presidents, like OBJ and GEJ, have towed the appeasement route trying to refrain from touching certain reforms the North insist are a no-go area. Yet Tinubu knows that If a President wishes to truly transform Nigeria for the better, enacting initiatives and reforms that will revamp all sectors to the glory of Nigeria, even if that means no second term, is the way to go. |
| Re: Tinubu Is Gradually Losing The Support Of The Northerners by UltraSolid: 3:05pm On Dec 03, 2024 |
ibechris:Let them align all they want. You people are always discounting the human element. Especially related to the resolute and principled Yorubas. Tinubu has his strategy right by showing the North are enemies of Nigeria's progress and automatic opponent of everything that can make Nigeria great. PBAT is clever enough to discern that an individual can start a race yet it is others who will finish it once they believe in the destination they have been shown is reachable. By the time Tinubu is done, many will now see progress and development is possible for Nigeria if the North is tackled. Even the most illiterate Southerner or middle Beltan will appreciate the North is the problem of Nigeria. Let us see, from that point on, how the North will be able to continue in their regressive leadership style unchallenged by Nigerians now more knowledgeable and emancipated. The best example I can give is Nigerian men taking women they assume to be 'simple and controllable' to the West to be the perfect and Obidient wives. Once these women get there and the environment open their eyes to the simplicity of their past lives, especially seeing how their western peers live, they never return to it resulting in divorce of husbands they have outgrown. The same will happen to the North. Mark my words. No other will want to tolerate and endure their regressive rule after Tinubu. Especially not Yorubas. |
| Re: Tinubu Is Gradually Losing The Support Of The Northerners by UltraSolid: 3:11pm On Dec 03, 2024 |
Yung6six:Stop obsessing about 2027. Nigeria does not have much longer to remain together as currently constituted. Tinubu's mission is to make that obvious and the fight for a better Nigeria will continue beyond his Presidency to the extent the repressive 'One Nigeria' the North and SE love so much will only be living on borrowed time. Nigeria will not be returning to Egypt after Tinubu.

UltraSolid:That's your opinion See as you just divert totally from the topic. Nigeria is not ending anytime soon. Just take note of that No region is ready to leave. Forget the noise Even north can't leave Nigeria. They will be like Niger Republic and Chad if they they try it. |
| Re: Tinubu Is Gradually Losing The Support Of The Northerners by UltraSolid: 3:28pm On Dec 03, 2024 |
Bendeco02:How have I diverted from the topic? OP states that Tinubu is losing the support of the North yet all truthful Nigerians know that a President who wants to transform the fortunes of Nigeria for the better will loss the support of the North anyway because how the North wishes to live, and what the leaders of the region want, is always inimical to the progress off Nigeria. If Tinubu is forging ahead, unconcerned with pleasing the North, then he has his strategy. It is OP who is slavish and still in the mindset the North is this united monolith that must be worshipped. I trust Tinubu, with the support of his Yoruba people, to demystify the North and show Nigerians the way to free themselves from the repressive mentality of those who will make us worse than Afghanistan if we don't stand up to them so they reform. |

If Tinubu want to go for another term, he'll definitely win. He only need to bribe their imams and emirs, then sit back and watch them vote massively. As painful as it may sound, those guys don't have brains of their own. |
| Re: Tinubu Is Gradually Losing The Support Of The Northerners by Bendeco02: 3:53pm On Dec 03, 2024*. Modified: 4:29pm On Dec 03, 2024 |
Oceanfl0w:Don't say they will vote massively He can bribe their politician/ellietes to allow him manipulate their result. You thought he won last election base on their votes? If votes was allowed to count, then atiku would have won the core north with high margin. Hope you know that tinubu only won two core northern states on last election just that he tried covered the marging with the help of APC politicians. Tinubu was able to manipulate Rivers state election result because of one man, the governor (Wike). You should have learnt something with it and stop making provocative statements. |
