Ipswich Town has confirmed that their captain, Sam Morsy, declined to wear a LGBTQ+ rainbow armband during the Premier League’s weekend fixtures, citing religious reasons

Morsy was the only Premier League captain who opted not to wear the armband. Ipswich Town, while expressing support for the Rainbow Laces campaign, stated that they respected Morsy’s decision.

“Ipswich Town Football Club is committed to being a fully inclusive club that welcomes everyone,” the club said in a statement.
“We proudly support the Premier League’s Rainbow Laces campaign and stand with the LGBTQ+ community in promoting equality and acceptance. At the same time, we respect the decision of our captain Sam Morsy, who has chosen not to wear the rainbow captain’s armband due to his religious beliefs.”

The club also emphasized its ongoing efforts toward inclusivity, noting initiatives such as player visits to LGBTQ+ football sessions and collaborative pledges with other teams.

Sam Morsy, who has represented Egypt at the international level, joined Ipswich in 2021 and has made over 140 appearances for the club. The Wolverhampton-born midfielder has also played for clubs including Wigan Athletic, Middlesbrough, and Barnsley during his career.

Although Sam Morsy is a Muslim, it feels really good as a follower of Christ to see someone at least having the audacity to stand up to those perverts behind this demonic woke LGBTQ+ agenda.

Of all the 20 captains in the premier League, he was only one that opted not to wear the LGBTQ+ rainbow armband during these weekend's matches damning all possible consequences, even though there would have been at least one professing Christian among the 19 captains, if not more, that still wore it despite knowing it goes against their religious beliefs.

I think many more football players ought to follow his example and start protesting or speaking up against this glaring injustice being perpetrated by the powers that be, to impose the aberrant beliefs of a few persons on everyone else with different beliefs, despite preaching religious freedom at the same time.

Some were already doing it in other sports in the USA. Coaches and entire teams in the NFL were already revolting against the NFL backed pride month.

No single player of Kansas City Chiefs participated in the pride month following instructions of their coach Andy Reid.

So it's indeed possible to say no to the nonsense woke agenda.

✓ LGBT+ is for gays ba...what of those that love non living objects and animals...why are they not being considered too. I have heard of people marrying house ,trees and their dog..who is fighting for them or are they not Gods creatures too.
✓ All I can say is that when things that are not supposed to mix does so it starts trouble,this can be seen from history and religious texts... Even the bible talked about angels mating humans and the effects

1. Primary purpose of the club ke? If you needed a job and one was available at a club which also supported ideas that you considered questionable, is it not your place to disqualify yourself from that opportunity knowing well that it is not of right fit for you?

2. Well, secondary agendas are still part and parcel of the company's overall image. So, it typically falls on those considering opportunities at the company to decide if that company fits in well with their personal
image and agenda as well. In this case, was this captain aware that the company supported LGBTQ courses before joining the team? If yes, then it is really not on the company.

1. Where did the club state that your own personal beliefs which is not the same as the belief of other people disqualify for the job? Or does the club support LGBTQ to the the exclusion of the beliefs of all others. It is an "all inclusive" does not mean that you foster the belief of one upon all.
2. Again, it is an all inclusive club, as far as it is the "overall image of the club", did the club tell you that the overall image does not cover personal rights and beliefs of others?
➜Besides go and verify, Ipswich Town gave out a message supporting the decision of their captain Morsy not to use the LGBTQ logo on his captain armband because of his religious beliefs. So there goes your overall image, supported ideas and agendas. Same for crystal palace Guehi who wrote that Jesus is God on the LGBTQ armband that he wore. The coach had come out in full support. Pls continue taking it from wherever it pleases you, if it pleases you, just don't rub it in other people's faces.

It wasn't just Sam Morsy that did something to show disapproval for the rainbow armband as initially thought, as another captain, this time a Christian called Marc Guéhi captain of Crystal Palace was said to have also shown some defiance against the rainbow armband by writing I love Jesus on the armband.

So it's also good to know that at least a Christian captain among the 20 Epl captains also stood for his beliefs and used the opportunity to rep Christ instead of the demonic agenda of the English FA and their rainbow armband.

Hopefully this is a sign of things to come.
