Please how do I correct knock sensor error code and EVAP code. My electrician has changed the Knock sensor but scanning still shows Knock sensor code |

Good Day guys Toyota Camry 2008 4 plugs My vehicle has an issue with its slow running or idle. Initially it stays at 1000 rpm then later on after driving for a while it goes down to around 700. At this stage when the AC is engaged there are slight vibrations and idle goes up & down intermittently. My mechanic checked for vacuum leaks but claims to find none. Vehicle was scanned & 3 codes came up. P0172 P0420 P2111 My electrician took out the O2 sensors & tested them & says they are not working optimally. I just want to be sure of the issue before wasting money on unecessary parts. Your suggestions will be welcome. |

becky39000:P0172 tells you to replace AF sensor upstream. P2111 tells you to replace throttle body aka injector mouth, P0420 tells you to replace catalytic converter or Install spacers. 1 Like |

A catalyst be it china or direct from factory doesn't spoil.its puke a mesh cotton like circle.if u have engine oil burn or engine oil leak,the exhaust going into cylinder head will be filled of carbon b4 it blacks the catalyst mesh. For aluminium engine complete, find neacafe paper disposable sold at supermarket.like 5h for 1.connect it to your engine air filter hose,remove the catalyst and mass sensor before connecting the red straw from nescafe...find a small stone ,place o.n pedal make sure the rpm reaches 2000rpm.use it to wash your catalyst for good 4mins at 2000rpm.gp to your muffler at back of boot,u will see steam or white steam ....if u see steam and blue smoke increase it to 2200rpm for good 3mins.agyer that,off engine.make engine cool for 4hrs Call mechanic,make he come do oil drain Including oil pan/sumo drain. Tell mechanic to loose the oil pump and remove the sediments on the oil pump filter/aluminium mesh reinstall both oul filter, etc.if your engine no gbera dm me.i go buy am as scrap. |

becky39000:He has to check the oxygen sensor voltage while attached to the car. Nigerian mechanic call air fuel sensor (AF Sensor) Oxygen sensor. it's the one located before the catalyst |

kingreign:OK thanks. Please how can I reach you? I'm interested in getting the A/F Sensor upstream & a Spacer. My mechanic pointed out that the injector mouth wasn't opening enough as it should so we tried a tokunbo, it was the same result so I'm ruling it out. |

Instead of the attendant to stop filling when they get the click, they pump in extra fuel. Now your car will end up sucking in the excess fuel instead of fuel vapor into your charcoal canister throwing those codes. If you are lucky and stop the practise, the fuel in charcoal canister can dry up and the codes will disappear. If not you have to get another expensive charcoal canister for your car. Usually the codes are 5, the code p2419 is missing |

Namzy:I didn't overfill my fuel tank but I noticed the code just immediately after buying fuel because it wasn't there before. I'm more concerned with the knock sensor code that has been there - P0328 |

Good day car gurus. What do you guys think about mazda 3 2012. I intend to get a Nigeria used one but thr owner said it the oil seal is bad hence leaking leaking oil. Also, the brake is faulty. Is this something that's easy to fix? Is the car reliable? |
