There must have been a way he had access to plans of the agents before hand .

They just had to carry their nonsense LGBTQ thingy into the series . At least they tried by limiting it to the only time he wanted to have access to the theatre .

What is wrong with this country? You allocated N1B for 20 cars but ended up spending over N8B? Why do you need 1B for 20 cars in the first place? What happened to the cars from the previous administration? or was David Umahi trekking around Ebonyi? How much is a state like Ebonyi generating to be spending this amount of funds on cars?

Depends on what you mean by leave sha, but they'd stop sponsoring local productions and that's a major source of FDI in the movie industry going out the window.

Modified: Just seeing Netflix saying they'd continue to sponsor Nigerian projects.

That's why I laugh when I see people like me going for, or against the Tax reform bill.

The truth is that nothing favours you. The governors supporting it are seeing the bigger picture to loot. The ones against it are already seeing a drop in their looting budget. The ordinary gets nothing outta it.

All the revenue and allocations they all got, what have they done with it? Can their achievements justify what they have spent so far?

Let the man chop abeg. He will still support Tax Reform bill, and one Ohaozara man would think the North is his problem.

Plot twist - The "shoe donor" is her son and his father/her husband recently returned from UK and apparently bought stuff for him which includes the shoe.

So she was merely ordering her son to gift his shoe to an indigent church member

And the boy was only obeying his mum.

Not making excuses for Nwifiru but the former governor Dave Umahi and his appointees stripped the government house, official residence, staff quarters and offices of everything..........everything!

They made away with cars, buses, furniture, electronics, electrical appliances, interior fittings, down to the littlest pin.

Nwifiru couldn't do anything or oppose the looting of the state assets because he owes his emergence as HOA member, Speaker and later Governor to Dave Umahi.

So I understand why Nwifiru had to buy new vehicles and all that but even at that he's overdone it.

He's bought and gifted SUVs to:

Friends
Political acolytes
Political appointees
CMDs of the General Hospitals
Magistrates
Judges
Traditional rulers
LG Chairmen
Catholic and Anglican Priests
Pentecostal pastors

and so on.

They're GAC SUVs and are all over town.

What is happening with the exchange rate. This drop in one day is abnormal
You still dey inside $ trade?
Should have seen the wind blowing.

Naira trade or invest your dollar (foreign stock, crypto).
Just holding $ is not a smart move for the next quarter.
Crypto rise means transient naira appreciation. But that is now being backed by a way better fiscal situation than at any point in the last 30 months. So naira appreciation will be sticky.

Even when I held USD, it was in eurobonds and not just sitting in a dom account. I have since moved the money to Tbills. 30% yield is too sweet to ignore especially as I didn't see the naira depreciating another 30% in one year. I also saw the current dip coming. Just didn't expect it to be this steep. Could it have anything to do with the newly introduced EFEMS platform by CBN?

If USD somehow goes back to the low 1000s, I'll sell the TBills and convert back to USD.

Explain what you mean by "handle"?

How did the people of Kogi handle Bello?

How come Bayelsa is not on par with Dubai, after their allocations since 1999? But na Tax Reform go change the whole story? grin

The people of the state would do nothing, for most parts. They'd still think 99% of Nigeria's underdevelopment blames should be heaped on the federal government.

Haven't you read defences excusing away almost no criticism of state governments while reiterating all composite members of the federal government should be hanged?

Wasn't it in this country Benue's Ortom who was receiving #32 billion annually as just security votes which we can't probe legally come out to blame all of Benue's failings on Buhari while half the country cheered him on? https://www.google.com/search?q=ortom+blame+buhari

Steal all they will but state governments would still get away it in the people's eyes.

Doubt EFEMS had much of an effect.
It's a perfect storm. Crypto + Fiscal + Seasonal (the inflows-outflows equilibrium is tighter this time of the year; expands next month).
It's not getting back below 1000. The states already signed off on 70K wages. 1400 is the budget peg.

Inflation is the only wildcard headwind for the rate.
Otherwise, a stable band of 1500-1800 is easy to sustain.

PRESS RELEASE

Port-Harcourt Refinery Up, Running, NNPC Insists
…Invites Doubters for Facility Tour

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) has insisted that the Old Port Harcourt Refinery is up and running, with loading operations in full swing.

The Group Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Mele Kyari, gave the confirmation at the commissioning of the NUPENG Towers in Lagos on Wednesday.

In a goodwill message at the event, Kyari extended invitation to human rights activist and lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana, and all those in doubt, to join the NNPC Ltd on a tour of the refineries in Port Harcourt, Warri, and Kaduna to verify their status.

He also shed light on the controversy around products blending, stating that blending was not a crime as it is an integral part of the refining process.

"If you don't blend, you will bring out off-spec products which will destroy your vehicles. Every refinery blend because what is on specification in the United States of America will be off spec in Nigeria and elsewhere. Blending is necessary to bring products to the specification of different countries or regions," he explained.

Kyari also congratulated NUPENG on the successful completion of the NUPENG Towers and urged the union to continue to prioritize dialogue and co-operation in its relationship with NNPC Ltd. and the Federal Government.

He disclosed that the President's interventions in the oil and gas industry by way of Executive Orders were yielding positive results, with more investments coming in and prospects of more jobs in the industry.

Chief Corporate Communications Officer
