The last time I visited Enugu state I was shocked at how food items were very cheap and affordable. I couldn't believe I had gone through the trouble of bringing tomatoes and peppers from Abuja for an event only to find out they were much cheaper in Enugu. Whatever they are doing there is working |

Nice one from Mbah Ebonyi Nwifuru would surely pay for Dave Umahi sins as well as his own if he doesn't correct the gross impunity being melted out on workers. No work no pay my black ass.

Nice. VERY POOR SALARY BECAUSE 80K IS LESS THAN $50 BUT WE CAN START FROM THERE... Any governor not paying at least 70k a month MINIMUM to workers is A WICKED EVIL CRIMINAL AND SHOULD BE IMPEACHED. |

Very few expected him to perform excellently well, including me, but he has proved us all wrong. Peter Mba is working tirelessly to reposition Enugu State. The LP candidate perhaps wouldn't have done much of this. I hear say the man is very stingy. He doesn't allow fanfare and visits to Government house, unlike the immediate past foolish billboard gov'nor that eats Ogbono and Olugbu soup at every function he attends. Peter Mba, we were told will do video calls with you instead of allowing visits that will cost him money. No more sharing of the state funds by politicians. You see, whenever you see people complain that you are stingy and harsh, just know that you're on the right track. They will only criticise and angry because you don't allow the status quo to be maintained, whereby it's looting galore. The same thing the Northerners are doing to the tax reform bill because it's not going to be business as usual. Nigerians are very corrupt people. It's in our DNA. |

Enugu State has been very lucky to have active governors since 1999. From Chimaraoke Nnamani to Sullivan Chime to Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi. Unfortunately for some unfortunate people like Reno Omokri, he will not see this one to report about the Southeast. Na sad news him dey find to report about the east |

That’s a positive step, and at least the Enugu state government is doing something that many others are not. However, I believe students in all tertiary institutions should focus more on becoming self-employed rather than just job seekers. It’s hard to comprehend how a household can survive on 80k for 30 days in this harsh economy. After factoring in transport, food, and other basic needs, how much would be left for a family of four? I’d bet no Nigerian civil servant could save 1 million in a year unless they’re involved in shady dealings or running their own legitimate business. Meanwhile, the average person own POS stand, Sporty bet shop, driver will go back home with at least 3k after feeding and transportation. |
