emkz:What do you mean by weaponization of protests? Don't we all know how defamation issues are usually handled? Why should we condone rascality by the powerful people using the institutions of government to harass other citizens? Exactly what Farotimi talked about in his book is what we are seeing now. Can we therefore say he libeled or slandered someone? He said the simple truth about those involved. |

Everything he accused the judiciary of seems to be correct based on there recent antecedent. I lost hope and respect for our judiciary system, and i can never allow my Son or Daughter to practice law in Nigeria because they all win cases with perjury. From bottom to the top. |

Lifestone:The problem is that it's a bailable offence but he's being denied bail probably because of the personality involved or because he accused the Supreme Court of being corrupt. |
| Re: Sowore To Lead Protest Against Judiciary Over Dele Farotimi's Detention by OsunOriginal: 8:56am On Dec 06, 2024 |
Lifestone:What injury did he suffer? In which court was it decided that he suffered injury? Claiming to have suffered injury is different from having actually suffered injury. Farotimi said the truth about the man and the way he was arrested and remanded corroborated everything he said in the book. In a just society, which is what we want, he hasn't slandered or libeled anybody - he said the truth about them. Afebabalola can write his own book to defend himself. |

adonainana:Are you kidding?? Books are perserved for hundreds of years after the lifetime of their author... Would you allow a book containing defamatory material about you to soil your legacy without answer? Stop pretending to be dumb. |

emkz:Carry your garbage buhari post somewhere else like arewa blog or where dullards are gathered. What do you mean by weaponization of protest? Where in the world is it done to abduct someone cos he wrote a book? Is this Afghanistan or Iran? Get your nonsense post and shove it up your ass! That's why Africa is so backward with police killing people everyday and kidnapping and bandits everywhere....you must be one of them! Bleep off with your garbage and never post such nonsense here! |

We are Biafrans we don't protest anymore about atrocities in Nigeria. We are the first people in Nigeria to fight and protest against the abnormalities. We are now been addressed as terrorists. So my people allow two Yoruba heavy weights to context for who is who in Ekiti. |

OsunOriginal:Dele is in court, he should go and prove his case, it's very simple, and can go help him also. He needs to prove all the elements of what he claimed, he's a Lawyer and must be accountable for his actions. He shouldn't have problems with that. He was formally invited by the Police, he refused to honor invitation, he didn't go to court to stop the warrant of arrest issued against him, he left the police and the court with no option than to arrest him. |

emkz:You've just proved to Nigerians that farotimi was right after all. Sensible people knows that afe Babalola will do everything to cover up his corruption. Asking for evidence he would had already concealed is part of the game. Please rest, sowore is fighting corruption, not afe Babalola I listened to farotimi's press conference before adoption. He explained that a kangaroo court trial was ongoing without his knowledge. A court severally summoning him without service to him just to have evidence to nail him. That is corruption fighting back. |

SmartPolician:They only adjourned the bail hearing and wasn't denied bail. I think Dele should have weighed all these possibilities. He comes to me as a human right lawyer and never an advocate. I can understand why he loses his case against Afe Babalola, Dele logics are flawed |
