ThatNiccur:Suicidal thought will come at ones lowest moment on earth but dont give in to it brother. Losing one's relationship with family and frnds is not the end of the world. If there's Life, also there's hope. We all have one addiction wece battled, battling with yet always find a way out. As regards the betting, you keep going back to your addiction because you feel it's your only way out and will one day win big (recover all) hence making you lose even more. Your mind, it has eaten deep into it. Get your mind together and busy on things that matters. Take your discussion away from anything betting... I lost words at this juncture. Suicide is not an option. You can start afresh from another edge now and turn out well in time to come. You wil really be a looser if you allow that Suicidal thought overcome you. Everyone has a story to tell, a story of how things turned out to be great. You need to tell yours too. Please don't commit suicide. Relationship with family might be ruined but they still looking out and up to you... |

WareLogMan:Thank you so much. I am grateful for your kind words. I am currently in a far away city where I know no one and I have pressing needs with no way to address them, majorly rent and feeding. My rent is due tomorrow. I feel like I am not in the right mental state and need mental help to overcome the addiction. The Yorubas say iku ya ju esin lo, and the thought of being put to shame and embarrassment triggers the suicidal thought, also the thought of not being able to stop chasing losses... |

Pearl1910:Pearl my bro, I know we must have had our differences and I truly hope it doesn't have a negative influence on how you choose to help me. To begin with, I need to be able to get off this addiction and I know it would require therapy...also, I currently do not have a dime to my name as we speak, I am in debt, my rent is due tomorrow and I am in a city where I know no one. I am using the internet from a cyber cafe. |

@ThatNiccur I saw your post last night and what really crossed my mind was to drop 2 books that helped my tots and ability to hold on in trying times. Then the following posts you drop seem confusing. Here is a sensitive case as you’ve threatened to end it all and I don’t think anyone wants that to rest on his conscience, but at the same time there’s need to come out wholly. We can’t hide information from Doctors, lawyers or therapists and expect healing. Few monikers has asked what kind of help do you need? You need to come out straight and bare the whole story. There’s nothing new on earth, we’ve not seen this before is just an exclamation. Are you a driver? On rental or owner? What happened to the car? How did you get to a land where you don’t know anyone? Did you lost touch with friends and families? Heavy on drugs and bottles? Renewing your rent honestly won’t take you out of the mess, having a dime to your name aside feeding and up keep won’t take you out either. What you need is a revamp, a spiritual cleansing. There’s a difference between you are working and effort is not adding due to lifestyle and completely feeling like an outcast. Honesty have to be in full with open arms, if you truly want to find your way to redemption. Tho it’s only God that can help. |

Abeg bosses in this hustle, una Good morning. I got this Kia Rio(one with the transmission that can turn my leg to johnnys type) that I’m thinking about using for this hustle while I skill up make hunger no con kill man for house. The issue I’m facing now is that the previous owner sometimes uses mobile semi synthetic engine oil but mostly uses XHP. So I’m thinking, should I risk it and switch to that semisynthetic or make I Dey use that XHP Dey go. Note that this engine still Dey kampe. Also, Abeg who knows a good Kia AC technician I can go to cos the only hope I had is no more. Make others no con run me street for this donB mentor era |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by dav1002(m): 6:29am On Dec 06, 2024 |
Abdulstoic:If the engine is still in top condition as you say, use fully synthetic oil instead. If it shorts than know the engine is probably on its last laps and reverse to your mobil xhp and service timely. If mobil full synthetic is too expensive you can go for hardex |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Abdulstoic: 7:37am On Dec 06, 2024 |
dav1002:I grab your point my boss, But the owner has never used synthetic. Make I no con Dey cause problem for wetin no get problem before. Nonetheless I’ll think about this too. Thanks boss |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by northbird: 8:06am On Dec 06, 2024 |
Abdulstoic:If the engine is sharp, Continue with engine oil the former owner has been using ,which is Mobil XHp. The most important thing is frequent oil change.Your max range must be 2500-3000km. Check if your odometer is in km or miles. If it's in miles, you musnt exceed 2100 miles before another oil change. |

ThatNiccur:I believe it's important to address your addiction first, either through mental therapy or by finding ways to keep yourself occupied. Focus on discovering your purpose in life and engaging in activities that will keep your mind actively engaged. Until this is addressed, I feel any financial assistance you receive might end up being used to fuel the gambling addiction. |

Obedibombedi:As a doubting Thomas that I am, I wouldn't have believed your words if I hadn't seen your screenshot earning. This is very madt, mehn. Lit! I can't just... mehn. So people still earn six figures from ride-sharing service in a month? I can't believe my eyes. This is too cool mehn. I came into this ride-sharing thread through a regular here whose comments in a betting thread got me into his posts. To say I am quite pleased is an understatement. Good one. |

Djdamian:Thank you so much for this positive feedback, it completely addresses the situation as the answers lie there in. Haven identified the answers, how can I be helped in that regard? 1. Getting mental Therapy 2. Finding healthy ways to keep myself occupied. (There is no job here so I have to get back to lag and find a job asap) which would help me earn and then I can pursue purpose 3. Purpose can be discussed with the therapist and during therapy. 4. I might need help with getting activities that will keep my mind actively engaged. All of these can be achieved over time, beginning from now, as I am ready, completely ready. However, financial assistance, is of importance, as part of the things pertinent towards keeping man alive is shelter. I am completely ready to open up to you if you are willing to listen and relate to the thread on my behalf on how to help. I clearly understand you, but I can assure you It would not be geared towards gambling, as I would not want to sleep on the streets in a foreign land or roam around like a destitute. I genuinely need help and I am willing to make things work. Total accountability is going to be of importance as I am sure the therapist would also make it a part of the treatment plan. There is the need for me to relate with an individual (maybe a professional) or someone from the thread, who is willing to listen and relate with the thread too. Suicide only presents itself as an option when you are without any help in a pressing situation. If I am unable to pay the rent, the only option would be to sleep on the streets and that is not an option, so suicide presents itself. would most definitely be used to renew the rent, as I pay monthly. I have been here for a couple of months and I have been managing but it is getting more difficult as there are no jobs. I engage in manual labour and it has not been easy. I am willing to open up asap, as the Yorubas say oku o ki fara pa mo fun eni to ba ma sin. We all are brothers and that's why I came to seek your help. I am very grateful for the feedback. @pope191 @pear1910 |

ThatNiccur:Your problem isn't gambling, the main problem here is your house rent, if that is sorted, you will feel relieved and continue with your normal activities... |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by northbird: 7:04pm On Dec 06, 2024 |
I don't know why people gamble. I used to tell folks in my group. Gambling is a game for the rich. and the rich gamble for the fun of it. They are not interested in making money. They just do it. It's like playing Nintendo or PS . |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by ThatNiccur: 7:07pm On Dec 06, 2024 |
Shimmaa:This is completely wrong. I beg you in God's name, please do not downplay my situation, I know my self better than you know me. It is unfair to assume or jump into negative conclusions. Normally, I had said I would not respond to negative comments, but I just have to state this clearly, I am tired of it and I wish to stop but I admit that I am too weak to do it alone and I need help. It has caused me so much harm such that there is no normal life to go back to and I am tired of that. Please I beg of my brothers here, do not engage me in rash conversations so as not to add tot my situation. If there is a way you can help, I would be eternally grateful. It goes beyond the rent. I just mentioned that my mental health is messed up and my response might or might not help the situation, if engaged in rash conversations. I understand clearly that most times, it is more difficult to get help for a disease that affects the mind and mental health than it is for things that affect the physical body, above all, we pray for sound mind and good health, Amen. The rent is 20k per month and I had been paying and also feeding from the manual labour job which I do for almost 3 months now. I can either pay 10k for two weeks or 20k for one month. |

northbird:Boss, please for the sake of humanity, I beg you in God;s name, do not judge. You already said that you do not know why people gamble. I'd be extremely grateful If you can help. Whether by kind words or by actions. I had to monster the courage to open up and I believe that it is possible to stop. Not been able to go for the labourer job right now for a few days as there has been no job and it is affecting me. I had to borrow 1k as that's the best the person could help me with and instead of getting food, I went to the cafe to get time. Please, in God's name, I need help. |

There's this belief by common folks that the betting companies are here to empower them. .I just chuckle. . They are here for business. The recent judgment by the Supreme court has made it more juicy for the state actors. Lagos indirectly will cash out from the Mugus the betting companies fatten for the slaughter house. .There are algorithms and data crunching centres monitoring all these betting agents by location. When they see that a crucial match is coming, they give some of their highest staking customers crumbs from the largesse especially in a densely populated betting area. ![]() The news will spread fast, that 5 guys just cash out 5 million each from a collection of 250 million. They give out 10% of the 250 million collected n keep the rest. The following week, most guys are ready to stake 50k, 100k , for the imaginary millions.... Betting is for the rich. I don't want to go into the aspect of those that clean money through betting. So for the broke guys that keep betting. You are playing in a game that is way above your league .. nothing demonic here or spritiual or village people, you are just a victim of your greed. Simple . |
