Very sound and intelligent right from day one. I’m happy she made me proud, mind you, she comes from my state which is Kogi state. I also graduated with first class also during my uni days. This means that the possibility of spending just 5M this year and pocketing the remaining 45M is very high.

After all, nobody may even remember to ask about the money again next year.

Assuming the money isn’t stolen as the student are aware of it and drag the online if they fail, then the worst part is the ignorance to allow the money run out in 10 years. This is not how endowment are managed anywhere in the world. The money needs to be invested safely.

50m will give 11m interest today on Treasury bill. They can take 5m for the award and reinvest the other 6m interest bringing their investments to 56m. There is no way the money won’t pay 5m per year for life!
