Tricycle riders popularly known as Keke Riders have blocked popular Spera Deo Junction In Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, Newsmax Nigeria has learnt.


According to sources that spoke with our correspondent, the Keke riders were told to do data capturing for uniformity in revenue collection, security and sanity and a section of their leadership revolted.

As at the time of filing this report, no official statement from Ebonyi State Government.

I don’t know why historically Igbos don’t like being counted or anything that involves counting human beings . During the last census In 2006 more than 80% of Igbos did not participate and it ended in fiasco in igboland . I am trying to do a research in my PHD thesis about that and the fact that historically Igbos don’t like paramount ruler- subjects rulership but prefers a council of chiefs to that and why the British colonial system failed only in igboland because of this out of all the countries they colonized igbos were the only ones that made them adopt indirect rule system of government . I am trying to intermarry those two ideas in my work and compare to Prof. Thurstan Shaw discovery in Igbo ukwu in present day Anambra state in 1959 which shows with radio carbon evidence dating that Igbos have been living in same location since 7th century AD ie when Roman, Vikings empires and prophet Mohamed were still existing which is about a thousand and four hundred years ago

Many Igbos refused to be counted in last census because MASSOB told them not to participate which was a very wrong and stupid move in a country where revenue is shared according to population.I never not heard that our people ever boycotted census or election before the arrival of nde ekperima freedom fighters.

Keke riders in warri,agbarho and ughelli are already used to this .....But we don't go on rampage,cuz if we do,the damages may be too much to curtail.....

The numbers of agberoes tormenting our lives on a daily basis should be more than the population of one Ghanian state.....No jokes..
