Honestly, it just hatred. Just imagine for like ten years, the amount of money he has paid as taxes to the government. If being a monopoly has bitter people make us to believe and he pays this huge taxes, then let him be. Others don't even pay. Noise makers are just paying penny but they will tell you, they build Lagos. Combined all Thier businesses in Lagos and the tax they pay yearly is a peanut to what Dangote pay yearly in Lagos. Only his cement and sugar is this huge tax, let wait and hear of the taxes for 2025 of his refinery. Dangote is a blessing to the country. Fuel importers and big traders like Obi could not build refineries and traders who keep importing goods as sole importers could not partner with the parent company and build what they import to the country. They are criminals. Obi could not practice what he preach. Consumption to production my foot.
what has peter obi got to do with the topic? hatred and jealousy is in your soul. do dangote cement and sugar operate in lagos?

Don't mind the good for notting entities that make noise with other people's achievements.. If their village man builds a house, they will call it theirs and will never nurse an ambition of bulding theirs in their entire life time, all they know is partying and lazying about claiming a state that is never theirs.

Banks should be excluded from that list. Yes you are paying taxes, but a chunk comes from depositors money.

Foreign oil companies that are supposed to pay income tax with US Dollars pay with crude oil. They fc..cuk Nigeria front and back. They did not bring crude oil from their home countries to Nigeria.
It is really quite funny and stupid. Just Imagine, paying us tax with out own crude oil, then they demand USD from us and expatriate back to their countries. Who are the foold who negotiated this dealhuh

GeneralDae:
Would crude oil production be classified under VAT? VAT is a consumption tax which would involve refining. So Dangote refinery would likely pay taxes for selling PMS to Nigerians if more than 25% (only due to the free trade zone limit).
Dangote is not consuming company, it produces. It pays tax as shown here.

Oil companies produce. They are supposed to pay tax in Dollars to Nigeria.

Not true. This post is about single individual businesses.
I know of one small food market here where area boys alone make 200k per day on levy collection. Multiply that by 365 days.

kedeojo:
They are noise makers. Ladipo, Alaba and computer village businesses can't pay up to 10b per year. Some stores in those markets don't pay more than 10k per month. Dangote is a blessing to Nigeria. Simple and quiet man, no bragging.

No access bank. Those guys are doing tax evasion despite the amount of profit they make. The government need beam a search light on that bank

You really observed well!
But in this part of the World,we don't see the impacts of the Taxes Collected but both the Fed Govt and States are always running to Foreign Countries- to add More Loans and More Burdens - to Nigerian People Futures.
-The Corruption in the System is just too mind burgling,as there is no Accountability and Transparency.
Most of the Works being done by Local Councils, the States a6 Federal Govt these days:
•Don't have/ Reveal the Amounts to Tax Payers,
•No Duration of the Projects,e.g 6 -months of execution of Projects,es deadlines,
Terrible and Shameful.

My sister mistakenly transferred money #50,000 on the 24th of November to a palmpay number ( 8166085809, Name: Grace Amarachi Okoro) to her little POS cubicle, OGUNDARE MERCY. (8038389395)

The main problem is that almost all the companies listed there have their branches across all state in Nigeria.
So they make their money from these states but that profit is tallied at the headquarters in Lagos. Meaning In theory that a company in Lagos is making the profit and then the taxes are collected by Lagos government.

How is this right?
You should know that income tax like the one the OP posted goes to the federal government and it is later shared through federal allocations to the state and FG while Pay As You Earn(PAYE) goes to the state of residence of the company employee. My PAYE goes to Lagos because I work and reside in Lagos. PAYE is expended only by the state government; it is part of their IGR. While Income tax, oil royalty, duties and vat are received by FG but are shared between every state and FG using a particular formula.

Are you mad? What has them being in Lagos state got to do with anything?

They may be based in Lagos but have most of thier operations all over the country and such make their money from these places.

If these companies were forced to exclusively pay taxes to each state they operate in and not to the federal government that will be a great deal. A company headquartered in Lagos but has its operating base in Nasarawa(like Dangote sugar) should not be paying a majority of its task to Lagos. The people in Awe local government of Nasarawa state, where dangote has a huge sugar cane farm, should benefit more.
Why are you riled up to that harmless statement
Re: Tax Reform Bills: 10 Largest Taxpayers In 2024 by Hemanwel(m): 4:59am On Dec 08, 2024
Some psychopathic BATISTS are already thinking these are the only companies paying taxes in the country.

The topic says, "10 Largest...". And they are already attributing them to Lagos companies; looking for how to taunt Igbos or the Southeast.

Please note, there's nothing yoruboid about this list.
