OkpaNsukkaisBae:They had no plan to defend anything. The Syrian Generals retain control of the divisions and armory in their command. So writer is right, that it is not a question of strength or being overrun. Certain figures in the regime decided to upgrade from Assad to a situation where they have a shot at running things directly. And the weaponry they refused to use to defend the cities will be used to prosecute a Civil War redux if it comes to that. We'll find out who these people are. The PM for instance is not scared. -Lord |

LordAdam16:Syria is under heavy sanctions Country divided by different factions. Turkey and Israeli missiles striking Syrian every now and then. A lot have changed, no Wagner, no General Soleimani in Syria. Assad have little on his hand to project power. |

LordAdam16:The future of Russian military bases in Syria is not guaranteed. The Qatar-Turkey gas pipeline might be activated if a Western aligned rebel takeover Syria. Not looking good for Russia strategically |

WrriterNg:Nothing will happen to them. Lift some sanctions and Assad's successor will turn a blind eye to US presence. Depending on how power shakes out, they may even legalize the US contingent. -Lord |

The US defense budget in 2025 will be $841 billion, the head of the Pentagon said. Compared to 2021, it will increase by more than $100 billion, Lloyd Austin noted. He also reported that the total amount of military support for Kiev from allies since 2022 has exceeded $119 billion . According to Austin, the United States has allocated more than $62 billion of this amount. Earlier, it became known about a new package of American military aid to Ukraine in the amount of $988 million.

LordAdam16:The problem is you can't really predict what a man can do when he's in power. These terrorists might make a U turn and go against their sponsors. Time will tell. |

Ghostagain:The only reason I still quote many people here despite the beefs is the innate love I just have for people. Even if you want to go astray, we will try to bring you back to reason. Unlike you, who vow never to read and respond to anything another person posts just because of a misunderstanding. You are the ones who actually take things personal and turn around to accuse other people. Quite funny and hypocritical how you suddenly tag people as terrorism loving. The same you that wanted Hamas and Hezbollah to destroy Israel? The same you? |

Prigozhin's memories of Palmyra: "On March 2, 2017, at dawn, I arrived near Palmyra and was there together with a high-ranking official from the Syrian administration, who came to thank my fighters for agreeing to recapture Palmyra from the enemy for the second time. The Syrian troops refused to support us during this assault. In principle, the Syrian army rarely fought, usually they followed in our footsteps in droves when the deed was already done. This is what happened on Palmyra. The first to enter Palmyra was Ratibor, the commander of the first assault squad. I remember his words well, he turned to the official and said: "If you lose Palmyra again, we will definitely not recapture it for the third time." Today, Palmyra fell for the third time... Seems like LordAdam is right... These guys hardly fight |

It really is a good time to be anti Russian. For more than 2 years, the scallywags here have huffed and puffed about the so called Russian power. I just can't stop laughing On a serious note, except you are just looking for a way to just lay unreasonable accusations in people, we, the pro west people here are not happy about the fall of Syria, the tantrums are actually about making jest of Iran and Russia. |

However, If these terrorist are not contained in Syria, they will move from the Mediterranean Sea down to Libya, from Libya to the Sahel States in West Africa. Northern Nigerian go first collect casualties. This is not about Russia vs America. |
