Pained ke? As a Nigerian I'm not really bothered. However, If these terrorist are not contained in Syria, they will move from the Mediterranean Sea down to Libya, from Libya to the Sahel States in West Africa. Northern Nigerian go first collect casualties. This is not about Russia vs America.
This saying just proves exactly why American bases exists in so many parts of the world. If not for anything, at least, they contained the movement and activities of these terrorists. Instead of you people to see the good which outweighs the bad, you just want to blame America for every evil.
Let me tell you something, Africa really needs to brace up really really well right now cos you see those greedy military people that went to snatch power in Mali, they will be the first to feel the wrath. At that time, nobody will listen to the bullshit of America sponsoring any terrorist activity.

The future of Russian military bases in Syria is not guaranteed.
The Qatar-Turkey gas pipeline might be activated if a Western aligned rebel takeover Syria.
Not looking good for Russia strategically
It's too early to predict what'll happen to Russia's two key interests.
The ports and the pipeline.

While Assad was still in power, Putin made overtures to the Kurds.
They rejected the advance.
Perhaps they'll reconsider now that they may have their designs on becoming a dominant force.
A Kurd + Shiite + Druze + Christian coalition could snatch power and preserve Russia's and Iran's interests.

I think there is an assumption that since the HTS led this offensive, Erdogan is now the Sultan of Syria.
There's still a lot that will happen.
Thousands of Syrian troops and their armory are in Iraq for safekeeping. The bulk of the SAA and pro-Assad militias withdrew to the coast (Latakia, Tartus).
So in a free for all, Russia and especially Iran could be courted by dueling parties looking to shore up support or upstage a rival.
Turkey, the Gulf, Egypt+Jordan, US all have their preferred groups, so Russia and Iran could place their thumb on the scale for whomever agrees to preserve their interests.

I do think Iran should exercise urgency and look to China to meet more of its urgent armament needs.
Trump's return will mean a 4 year arms race.
Hostilities will resume when he leaves.

Having a meaningful conversation with you is always difficult. You have a way of turning logic upside down👆🔄👇. How can you say America is containing them yet they're supporting & partnering with Al Qaeda and ISIS terrorist group in Syria to take over the government?

US is so powerful and big, that they have imposed a grand delusion and thought insertions that whatever is happening from the ops divide is caused by them.
This is why US opponents are hyperactive working themselves over to death with no active cause.

To combat this mental superiority, I guess that's why Russia bots like WriteerNg and the likes here are the most active, typing 24/7.

Dude, listen: Isis terrorist group is on turkeys orders. I don't think they would attack turkey's ally or turkey. You've got to understand this, Isis (or hts) are terrorists and their leader is Erdogan.
WrriterNg:
The US too would be affected because they have a small contingent in Syria.

What will happen to them?

The problem is you can't really predict what a man can do when he's in power.

These terrorists might make a U turn and go against their sponsors. Time will tell.
I mean sure Iraq is asking the US to leave, so it's not outside the realm of possibility.
There is absolutely a non-zero risk.

Still, it'll be a long shot in Syria for peculiar reasons.

The Syrian Prime Minister said he knew nothing about the whereabouts of Bashar al-Assad, the last time they were in contact was yesterday. What else is known about the situation in Syria at this hour:

◾️The Syrian Prime Minister also told Al-Arabiya about contact with the head of the terrorist Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (banned in Russia). He added that most of the ministers are in Damascus;

I actually believe that Russia is currently manufacturing more weapons. But that doesn't necessarily make it more powerful.
What the dunces here fail to realize is that Russian economy is already in a war economy, a situation where you throw almost all available resources to the production of weapons. The US and allied forces are not yet in that zone. The longer the Ukrainian war takes, the worse it gets for Russia. At the end of it all, it will never ever be able to challenge the US both on military might or economic might.
ONE MAN DOWN!!! grin grin
Like I've told WriteerNg before,
US have got the Russian where they want them to be. They'll keep stalling the war until there's another capitulation of the Russian federation.... The 3rd Russian republic is coming soon, what will it be called this time?

🇷🇺🇸🇰 Liberation from fascism came to Slovakia from the east, and the Soviet Union played a decisive role in this , Prime Minister Fico told local TV.

" Thousands of Red Army soldiers shed their blood for our freedom, there are hundreds of burial sites in Slovakia that remind us of this. So where should I go to honor the memory of the Red Army soldiers who died for our freedom? To Norway? To Africa ?"

Earlier, the Prime Minister announced that he would come to Moscow to celebrate Victory Day together with Serbian President Vucic.

If instructed to, the SAA would have bogged the HTS force for weeks in any of the cities they withdrew from.

We'll find out who made the call to stand down the SAA.

Was it a fluid situation or was it decided long before the offensive.

-Lord
There's no decision here. Even if the decision is made by the higher ups to stay and defend psychological warfare will always win over logical battle atleast in the short term.
No one is fully ready for a lightening fast emboldened Blitzkrieg, caught unaware.
Human psychology is self preservation and on that occasion, any troops will want to retweet many times damning with the higher ups will say, not especially in Syria where the troops has little incentives for defending Asad.

It's always work in human history, the Mongols, napoleon, Germans, Talibans in Afghanistan and now in Syria....

Make your Blitzkrieg simple, concise and goal driven.
The Russian initial invasion of Kiev is how not to perform a Blitzkrieg

Assad is old news.

Attention is now on the potential power sharing agreement.
And who the Axis backs.

Apparently, the terrorists are deploying a force to snatch Kurdish oil fields.
Update:

The Turkey-backed terrorists successfully seized Deir ez-Zor from the US-backed SDF.
The US had to mobilize aircrafts to provide cover for retreating SDF units.

No one is advancing to Russia controlled coastal cities of Latakia and Tartus where pro-Assad elements have taken refuge.
SAA personnel who cannot make it to the coast are still withdrawing to Iraq.

Besides the early strikes where SAA/Iranian militants/Russian jets killed hundreds of terrorists; all sides largely retain their forces and are consolidating in their respective territories.
Assad's PM says many ministers are still in Damascus.
Clearly, the deal to avoid a confrontation was not only made by the Generals.
The politicos were read in.

They will go against their sponsors. It's normal. The only thing they and their sponsors have in common is their insistence on removing Assad and his government.

Once they achieve that, there's nothing binding them together again. If anything, they will have a lot that divides them.

For instance, Turkey and the US will want to takeover Syria's oil fields. But the terrorists will also need those oil fields for themselves. And that is going to be a source of serious conflict.

Prigozhin's memories of Palmyra:

"On March 2, 2017, at dawn, I arrived near Palmyra and was there together with a high-ranking official from the Syrian administration, who came to thank my fighters for agreeing to recapture Palmyra from the enemy for the second time.

The Syrian troops refused to support us during this assault. In principle, the Syrian army rarely fought, usually they followed in our footsteps in droves when the deed was already done. This is what happened on Palmyra.

The first to enter Palmyra was Ratibor, the commander of the first assault squad. I remember his words well, he turned to the official and said: "If you lose Palmyra again, we will definitely not recapture it for the third time."

Today, Palmyra fell for the third time...

Seems like LordAdam is right... These guys hardly fight
Arabs are lazy fighters. From Saudi to Qatar to UAE to Syria, Iraq, Lebanon etc reason isreal with an average military is banging them silly.
