If the withdrawal was made from POS, forget about it... There's nothing that can be done.

Firstly deactivate the ATM....Then go to the bank although the bank is useless at this moment....the ATM might not have an accurate address that would give the bank issues.it happen to me wen #135,000 was deducted from my first bank account.The bank will tell you come today come tomorrow.the best option is to deactivate the ATM ASAP !

So it’s likely a family affair and the bank is not responsible for carelessness on your own part

One thing you should know is POS transactions will always require password. So he must've compromised his password.
Check previous debits to see if it's a POS he has been using previously so it can help narrow out those who could've exploited his vulnerability from using their POS previously.

POS transactions can't be done with just PAN, CV2 and expiry details only. Pin is necessary

Go and block the account fez before wuna go come NL to look for FBI who go help you crack this.

Activate the USSD to block the card for your dad.
You can then take him to bank to get another card.

Why are you looking for POS location for, when someone in your house is the culprit

You're lucky they withdrew only 50 out of that balance I'm seeing.

Go to his bank, they can trace the account but unfortunately they can't retrieve the money cos it isn't their fault

The Nearest ATM to baba house was used,trace the day and time and ask the atm person wey baba dey use(most likely the ones closest to his house) if any of babas people came on that particular date.

You should ask him who he gave his pin to, or who around him he has given his card and pin to help withdraw at any point in time.

Where is your location because the POS device is located there in the message, including the number (ID)

Your dad is elderly and I'm sure he must have given his ATM to someone to 'help' him or withdraw on his behalf. He could have even told someone his pin. Use this opportunity to educate him and if you are afraid of his memory, let him have 1 trusted person in the house who knows the pin. In the meantime, NL is not where to come to. Find out your account officer's details and tell them about it. They should be able to help. Most of what you are asking for can be managed by AO and he won't need to stress himself going to the bank physically. They manage his account and can help with the investigation you want NLs to do but don't work for him

Also banks have fraud teams, send them a mail and they will help you even if they take time. Go to the right places, they will help you.

yes they do sir. Most of us just don't take advantage of it due to knowledge gap. Almost all banks app have this feature.
