united4men:@the bold; I dey see am, too. ![]() Be like people have now been rushing to it due to its fuel economy hype and cheap parts. You know, when a car demand is getting higher, the price go follow am climb ladder, just like the Corolla. To your question, both are suitable for the hustle, but I would rather opt for a clean and well-maintaned DC. Much respect, boss. |

HOW TO BE A SUCCESSFUL UBER PARTNER IN 2025. You have to have driven on ehailing platform before. If you haven't been a driver, you CAN NEVER understand what a driver goes through to make the money to pay you weekly. It's not enough to simply call yourself an investor, buy a car, register it and give out to a driver, sit back, relax and expect millions. Drive that car for a week at least. You may skip this part and still be successful, but you won't be as successful. If you have driven on the platform you'll understand better how the system works. How long it takes to make that money, customer relations, bad days, driver psychology. Things have changed. You cannot keep doing the same things and expect different results. Type of cars to be put on the platform are small cars. Don't go for expensive. If you think going for expensive means higher returns, I have a plot of land to sell to you at eko Atlantic. Do not make the driver over compensate you for your foolishness or miscalculations. You have to have the right information about any business you're embarking on. It's your duty to do due diligence as an "investor" about the appropriate car to use. If you fail this step, do not make the driver pay for that. Your car should be top notch before you give it out to a driver. You have to comprehensively insure it, and have a tracker on it. It's a disgrace that many partners take advantage of the desperation of drivers to coerce them to drive stupid cars they know is not in good condition, sometimes with the promise of "start work first, we go dey fix am small small". If you do this, you're a bad person and you deserve anything negative that comes your way from that nonsense. Tires on the car should be good for 3 months minimum. Battery should be good. Alternator good. Breaks, shocks, hub everything should be 100% before you give that car out to anyone. You cannot demand 100% efficiency from a driver from a car that is not 100%. That's unquantifiable stupidity. All car maintenance must be on you. Raise the weekly remittance to cover the maintenance bills, but you must be in charge. Except of course it's and emergency and your mechanic won't get there in maximum of 2 hours. You have to know the repair and maintenance history of the car. A driver will tell stories if you leave him to maintain your car. Charge for the maintenance in advance and structurally imbibe it into the remittance. 4. Your driver should make more money than he pays to you on a weekly basis. That's the only way to keep him happy and you happy. If you overcharge him, he won't give 100%. If your car is a stupid car and you're making him drive it, he won't make money but will find a way to pay you because you've threatened him. That's wrong. Encourage your driver to make more money than he pays you and he will value you as a good person and he won't want to lose your trust. Encourage him to try and buy a car from the money he makes driving your car and you have just unlocked motivation level 100. If you're getting your weekly payment as at when due, everything works as it's supposed to. If a driver sees your car as a wealth builder, he won't mess around with you or your payment. Try not to tie your building project to the one car you gave to a driver. If you have 100 cars, the discussion will be different. It will be criminal of you to spend all the money a driver pays to you weekly, INCLUDING the structure of maintenance money you've added and tell him stories when it's time to fix a problem. The more genuine a car part is, the more it will last. The more it lasts, the more your car remains on the road, guaranteeing your income. Therefore, as much as you can, avoid repairing a part you have been advised to replace. Don't buy a hub bearing if you can buy a complete hub, for example. Be Nice to your driver and try to understand his explanation if something goes wrong. Use your tracker to establish the truth and deal with the situation accordingly. He's a human like you. If you have an irresponsible driver, 4 fingers are pointing back at you for failing to do due diligence. This is a serious business and you have to treat as such. The more responsible a driver is, the less stress you'll have. Even the most responsible drivers will be victims of circumstances out of their control once in a while. Be a decent human being and try to understand. Do a background check on whoever it is you'll be entrusting your car to. You have to know his family and his relatives. The contract you sign with a driver should not be too strict or you'll learn the hard way. Limit contracts to 3 months. If a driver is in a short leash, he usually performs better. There's an erroneous thinking that putting a driver on HP makes them more serious. That's not the case, but I'm really not here to convince you of what I know of. Your hp is usually 30 months. It's better you have a car on 3 months short contracts and be renewed 10 times and after the 10th time you sell the car to the same driver or you sell the car. The maths is the same. The difference is that the driver or drivers you use to get to 30 months know what's coming after 3months if you're not satisfied with them. In the case you'll be replacing a driver after 3 months, have a replacement waiting to avoid downtime. I'm constrained by time to finish this. You may not like it, but I really don't care. I'm good. These are just tips. You don't have to follow them. |
