Kukutente23:How many times do I have to describe Muhammad to you. He was an illiterate medieval thief, paedophile, mass murderer, plagiarist, sexual pervert, pretender, caravan robber. His so called Quran is largely plagiarized from the Old Testament. If Muhammad wants to sleep with his house girl, he will just say he heard a new verse from Allah that permits it. End of. |

DeepSight:Will doffman and AntiChristian agree? They believe the Qur'an is a revelation and the last book after Torah, Zabir and Injeel They also believe those books are lost and only quran is still with us though they have not told us why Allah can't just tell us where the books are. They also insist the bible is corrupted though they can't tell us which part is corrupted and which is not Lastly, they can't explain why so the other prophets are from Isaac's line and only Muhammad is from Ishmael's |

Kukutente23:I don't care whether anyone agrees. That's who Muhammad was. He would literally suddenly say he has heard a new verse in order to fvvuck a woman or kill a person. He had no integrity and was one of the worst criminals in history. However the Bible is also corrupted mostly by those who put it together - the Catholic Church. |
| Re: Four Nigerians Arrested With 39kg Of Cocaine In Saudi Arabia by Kukutente23: 9:12pm On Dec 09, 2024 |
DeepSight:Lol. When you describe Muhammad as one of the worst criminals, I think you're not being fair to him. I believe he was actually quite religious and believed in the supreme God of the Jews being the true God. His problem lies in his inability to let go of his tribal and personal proclivities. It's a flaw that flows through his message and ministry. He ended up making the religion about himself simply because Jews and Christians rejected him. That's where he got misguided and deviated. As for the Bible, it is not a work of the catholics. The most popular bible in use today is the one compiled by the Protestants especially Martin Luther who removed some canonical texts from the bible. So to reduce the bible as it is today to the work of catholics is a fallacy |

DeepSight:I don't know of any relationship between the Council of Nicea and the Bible. My knowledge of those events you mentioned was to solve a theological debate not to compile the Bible so I don't really know what you're going with it. Like I said, the Bible as it is presently known is not the work of the Catholic Church. They've had some influence over it definitely but they cannot claim sole ownership Guy, calm down with Muhammad. You should be a good student of religion, history and philosophy instead of sounding like a fanatic or extremist. It will interest you to know that my debate with Muslims here, end here. Most importantly, I don't engage them to demean their religion but to open their eyes to some home truths especially that dude who thinks he has some moral ground to attack Christianity. I have studied various religions and texts and I can proudly say Christianity still remains the best and most illuminating religion for humanity that can give us what we really seek in this world if practiced as Jesus taught. |

Kukutente23:The Council of Nicea was already the Catholic Church. And they decided the doctrines of Christianity and what to include in the Bible and what to exclude. The Arian heresy was about the Doctrine of the Trinity - Arius disagreed with it, and most of the bishops also did - infact the sitting pope at the time did as well. There are hundreds of books that were kept out of the bible by the Church. Constantine the Great enforced the Bible to give Rome a united religion. No Protestants added any books to the Bible after the Catholic Chuch arranged it. All that happened is that the apocrypha does not appear in non-catholic bibles. What I am telling you is that you assume the Bible is perfect. No. It ws a political work. As for Muhammad, na God go punish am. |

Kukutente23:PS - Practicing what Jesus taught is good. Except the part about saying "turn the other cheek." That is too pacifist and encourages violence. There must be a balance of terror to stop violence. |
| Re: Four Nigerians Arrested With 39kg Of Cocaine In Saudi Arabia by Kukutente23: 12:38pm On Dec 10, 2024 |
DeepSight:I'm not sure you have studied Christianity well enough. Do you realize that what you call Catholic Church today is an offshoot of the Jerusalem Council of the early Apostles who themselves formed the council after the Jewish council of Sanhedrin and Scribes? The history of Christianity is broader and more complex than just ascribing it to Catholicism. Christianity today has about five different branches with different theological emphasis. The Catholic, Protestants, Evangelicals, Pentecostals and Presbyterians are all valid branches of Christianity with different leanings in terms of theology. Each has at one time influenced the other with the Pentecostal which is the latest branch even influencing the Catholic which is the oldest and birthing the Charismatic Catholic movement. The Council of Nicaea did not invent or produce the Bible. The council was convened majorly to deal with theological questions and debates and not the Bible. The Bible has existed long before the council was ever considered. The Torah is the oldest Bible. The Hebrew Bible is the second oldest. The Septuagint, which is the oldest Catholic Bible, existed before the Council of Nicaea. More importantly, Constantine had nothing to do with the Bible. He made Christianity a state religion but he did not compile the Bible. The Catholics also left out some parts of the old scrolls in compiling the Latin Vulgate just as Martin Luther left out some parts of the Vulgate in compiling the Protestant Bible. Tyndale made some adjustment to the use and meaning of words from direct interpretation of the original Greek which is why he refused to use the Latin Vulgate extensively in his works. All these point to as I said, that the Bible is not a product of Catholicism. |

DeepSight: ![]() But you know if everyone practices the concept of turning the other cheek, there will be no violence at all? Not so? Is it not a zero sum? Jesus was referring to living in peace with others as much as it relies on you. I can agree it is not so practicable but that is exactly why I said Christianity is the best religion. It calls humans to higher moral and spiritual living than that which our nature will tend towards. It ultimately shows us that we are flawed. Deeply flawed and unless we accept and let go of those flaws, we can;t achieve what we seek in this earth. The balance of terror has never stopped violence has it? As for Muhammad, I don't think he's in heaven anyway. My opinion of him is that of a misguided prophet which makes him a false prophet which is why I'm convinced he can't be in heaven. So you calling for God to punish him is a little bit too late! |

Kukutente23:Lets keep it simple - 1. Who was the first Pope 2. What "Church" put together the first Bible (not Torah oh - OT and NT together). 3. What was that "Church" or "Group" or "Council" called. Thank you. PS: Please point me to one book added to the Bible by any other "branch" of Christianity other than the Catholics. |

Kukutente23:PS - Look here - https://theimaginativeconservative.org/2024/09/canon-bible-lyle-boudreaux.html The short and most accurate answer is that the Catholic Church compiled the Bible. Re: Council of Nicea - Yes, theological debates. However, one thing I want you to realize is that the result of those debates also influenced books that would be rejected and books that would be accepted. Re: Constantine - There would be nothing like Christianity as a major world religion today without him. |
| Re: Four Nigerians Arrested With 39kg Of Cocaine In Saudi Arabia by Kukutente23: 1:01pm On Dec 10, 2024 |
DeepSight:Ok. 1. Peter is regarded as the first Pope 2. No Church put together the first Bible. Like I told you, the Bible simply means compilation of books and it has existed and in use by different Church gatherings before it was officially compiled and translated as one into Latin by Jerome under the instruction of Pope Damasus in 382AD. You can see that this is years after the Nicaean Council. 3. If you're referring to the compilation done by Jerome, you can then claim it was done by Catholic Church but that will be incorrect still because Jerome simply compiled both Septuagint and Hebrew Bible (which he translated from the original Greek and Hebrew respectively) and the New Testament which was already in Latin into one Book. The three books already existed and were being used in churches including Episcopals before he did his works. The Catholics did not add any books to the existing Catholic Bible. Rather, they left out some apocryphal books. The Protestants also did same by leaving out some books from the Catholic Bible. Till today, the Catholic Bible has 73 books while the Protestant has 66. |
| Re: Four Nigerians Arrested With 39kg Of Cocaine In Saudi Arabia by DeepSight(m): 1:13pm On Dec 10, 2024 |
DeepSight:Kukutente23, please scan through the link here. Also, I emphasize the bold. When you say "years after" Nicea, that actually proves my point that those theological debates influenced what books would stay in and what books would be rejected. There were literally hundreds of books, many of which preached completely different things. Let me add why I asked who the first Pope was. Because that ends the conversation. If Peter was the first Pope, then obviously the Catholic Church put everything together. PS: That's probably a lie though. |

Saudi Arabia can not try it. They know what will happen to them at the international arena if they behead them. Tinubu will take drastic steps that can affect their economy. They should know Nigeria is the giant in Africa. |
