| Igbos Should Beg Obi To Support A Northern Candidate In 2027 by OredoPikin(op): 8:55am On Dec 10, 2024 |
When Tinubu was sworn in as president, I advocated for the need to prioritize southern unity, especially with the South East, because I knew that in 2027, the North would likely seek to regain power, regardless of Tinubu’s performance. For voicing this concern, I was attacked by his supporters. I also cautioned Tinubu's supporters to stop attacking the Igbos, and I urged the Igbo to do the same. Unfortunately, instead of listening, I was attacked again. I expected Tinubu, as president, to initiate the healing process and promote unity, perhaps through public programs on TV and radio. But almost two years into his presidency, nothing of the sort has materialized. Now, Tinubu has failed woefully and the needless attack by his supporters on the igbos and tagging everyone with contrary opinions as igbo has increased. The North want to use the advantage of Tinubu failure and southern disunity to push for the presidency. At this point, I have come to the conclusion too that Peter Obi should put his presidential ambitions on hold and support a northern candidate, such as Atiku Abubakar or Rabiu Kwankwaso, for the 2027 election. He could even consider serving as vice president to one of them, or recommend an Igbo or South-South candidate as a running mate. The focus now should be on rescuing Nigeria from the current hardship under Tinubu and ending the tribal divisions that have escalated during his presidency. Supporting a northern candidate like Atiku is the most strategic way to challenge Tinubu’s rule and curb the hardship and harmful tribalism that has intensified in the past 2 years. If you allow Tinubu to continue beyond 2027, you risk further antagonism and attacks on your tribe for the next six years, and Northerners will not be spare too because they will come for every tribe including us in the South South that doesn't support them. It’s time for the Igbos to urge Peter Obi to set aside his presidential aspirations and back a northern candidate in 2027, to help restore sanity and unity to our political space. ATIKU/OBI 2027 |

Demented Peter Obi is too desperate to be President just like Atiku. You think all those substandard boreholes he is donating to northerners and praying in their mosques is for him to become Atiku's bitch again? ![]() |

Lol. @OP. Make una plot well well all you want. With or without the Presidency, Yorubas are not returning to Egypt. Make of that statement what your intellect allows you to make of it. Suffice to say it is Yorubas alone acting as if they see the big picture today. Imagine Southerners begging the most regressive region with the most regressive leaders, to recolonize Nigeria after 8 years of Buhari. Tinubu just need to bully through reforms that will allow regions to have autonomy over their own resources and administration by 2027 and you slaves in the South can worship your Fulani life President forever. |

Nothing like to beg Obi If Obi agrees to be vice to Atiku. That's his choice East will still vote for them If Atiku refuse to contest and back Obi with Kwakanso as VP. North will still vote for them. Nigerians can vote for anyone but tinubu. Yoruba can make him their regional president after 2027 |

Atiku, Obi, Jonathan and Kwankwaso should meet physically in a room and decide on one of them to lead the entire opposition in 2027. After the meeting, the other 3 men should issue a joint statement supporting the new opposition leader. All non-Apc politicians and supporters nationwide are expected to line up behind the opposition leader. Anything outside this is emilokan till 2031. |

Support for Atiku should come with clear, actionable demands to address critical injustices and ensure accountability in Nigeria’s electoral and governance processes. These demands could include: Comprehensive Trials and Prosecutions: Full trials and decisive prosecution of electoral officials from 1999 and 2023, whose actions undermined the integrity of the electoral process. Prosecution of all individuals responsible for electoral violence against the Igbo community in Lagos since 2015. Decisive Actions Against Electoral Offenders: Strict and immediate penalties, including execution for gun-wielding thugs and electoral offenders who violated the democratic rights of Lagosians during the 2015, 2019, and 2023 elections. Equitable Infrastructure Development: Siting key infrastructure projects in the Southeast, such as river ports in Onitsha and Aba, with integrated rail links to bolster economic development in the region. Cleansing the Media Landscape: Disabling the influence of media outlets that perpetuated misinformation and enabled electoral malpractice. Deportation of agents and their families who orchestrated and facilitated electoral thuggery across Nigeria. These measures aim to restore confidence in the democratic process, ensure justice, and create a fair and inclusive foundation for national unity and progress. |

OredoPikin:There's something wrong with people like this. Why do you need Obi to get rid of Tinubu? What about those who will be voting Tinubu? Do they live in a different Nigeria? Isn't Tinubu's policies affecting them same as anyone else? The appeal of Obi lay in the fact that people saw him as a better candidate. Should Obi support anyone else, that appeal will disappear because he is indirectly telling people that he is not the better candidate What people should be more concerned about is how credible elections can be conducted because without it, 2027 will be rigged with impunity |

mrvitalis:The reality like I told you 2 years ago is still the same Igbos must have a chance to govern Nigeria and that must be if they politically align so well. Trust is something that is needed .. majority of Nigerians outside east don’t trust Igbos with power . .. knowing in reality that they can make Nigeria work.. But you see that issue of Biafra .. is something too deep in nigeria.. both the northern and southern minorities see it as threat.. talk more of the majorities .. another is the religious intolerance between east and North .. also the deep divide created by the Yoruba media to stop Igbos from getting to center These are realities stopping the east .. slugging it on their own without a proper alignment Again The east don’t really know their enemies.. they see north as their enemies why their core enemies reside in south with them and on daily propagate negative against them What is the north that quieten Obi and his Obidients in the last 19 months.. Is a media propaganda lunched by yoruba.. Btw Tinubu and Obi only on ballot .. walahi Tinubu will win without rigging . Straight . So Chief .. forget sentiments no one is gaslighting you.. just the obvious realities Or do you think .. Yoruba people are kidding when they say Igbo will never rule Nigeria Know this truth because they understand politics more . Wake to reality |

OredoPikin:Now I know, 100%, I am talking to a clown. If the Island belongs to you then why is that not stated in any land deed at Alausa? Why is no single Edo in any administrative position on Lagos Island? Your idea of 'ownership' needs serious re-evaluation Bro. |

gidgiddy:Tinubu cannot conduct a credible election as a president Put ur emotions aside Obi cannot win Tinubu because Tinubu doesn't depend on ur vote to win. With Atiku from the North, the North west and North east will give a massive vote SS, SE and some part of NC will vote the ticket because of Obi This will make it impossible for Tinubu to rigged Again u know the elites in the North will prefer Atiku anyday anytime The goal is to rescue Nigeria first from Tinubu and APC Then after Atiku term, Obi can have easy path to victory |

Igbos can make Nigeria work, yet we see no evidence of their leadership talent in the SE. Jokers. |

OredoPikin:So why can't Atiku step down and support Obi? Obi did not enter Presidential politics to help Atiku become President, or help kick out Tinubu That's not Obi's job, that's the job of voters. If people feel that Tinubu should go, let them vote out Tinubu, rather than waiting for Atiku or Obi |
