I need an urgent assistance with respect to my US visa B1/B2 renewal. I applied for drop box waiver interview and the appointment date was a week to the conference I am attending. I requested for an emergency appointment which was not granted. My question now is, is it possible to convert the drop box waiver appointment to physical interview appointment?

If yes, how do I go about it?

I AM UNABLE TO PROCEED AFTER UPLOADING MY I-20 DOCUMENT.

I started a DS-160 application that i haven't completed and submitted. When I try to retrieve it, i got the message no matching data found.

I realize it's been more than 30 days and I only have to upload the file and retrieve but I don't have the file to upload and therefore had to fill a new DS -160 but i have already scheduled a visa appointment on this uncompleted and expired application ID

Kindly advice on what to do.

Please I want to confirm, now that we have to still pick dates of travel, are we to still stick to the date we intended to previously travel? In the light of the issues we have been encountering?

Read somewhere that if the date of resumption or t traveling is close,it could impact negatively on the day of interview, just asking for clarification.

E.g my date of traveling was 31st December 24, now this pre-approval has been nothing but an issue, will my choosing 31st December 24 in light of resumption on the 13th Jan have any negative effect during the interview? Especially after my inability to pass this pre-approval for the last two weeks?

I think that date is just tentative. It should not have any effect on your interview, unless you're having your interview very close to your resumption date.

I have a question that's not directly related to a student visa, but I couldn't find a more relevant group, so I’m posting here.

I attended my H1B visa interview on December 5th, and it was approved. The consular officer pointed out that I made a mistake with my birthdate, but she corrected it. When I checked the status on CEAC Tracker https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?App=NIV, it still shows "Approved, but not issued." It’s been 5 days, and I’m wondering how long it typically takes to receive the passport back. I have a flight on Friday, so any insights would be appreciated.

Has anyone who had their interview on December 5th received their passport yet? Thanks in advance!

I open alot of ticket on my there customer care but it seems they are not fixing it at there end. please how can I get call them through Avit or any other means cos it seems messaging them is not working maybe call would work

I’m seeking advice regarding my F1 visa interview. I’ve been checking for available dates in Abuja, but the earliest I could find is in February. However, I’ve noticed that there are earlier dates available at the Lagos embassy.
This would be my first visa interview, and I’ve seen mixed reviews about experiences at the Lagos embassy, which makes me unsure about rescheduling there.
Should I go ahead and book an earlier date in Lagos, or should I consider asking my school to defer my admission to the next semester, which starts in September?

You know the call/chat stuff on the Avits website right?

Choose on call. You'll hear the automated response go on for a few seconds then you'll hear the options 1-5 for something, choose 1(visa services), so go on and on like that. Choose number 2 for the second prompt. Choose 1 again after that. Choose 3 (general inquiries on visa appointment). After that choose 1(regular appointment). After that choose 3(speak with a Customer support).

Bro, I'm already fed up. I just spoke to a customer support and she said I should wait, that it will be forwarded to her boss and I will get a response to my ticket soon. I had to tell her to forget about the ticket lol and let her know it's a general problem and a lot of people have been facing this issue for over a month now and what they are told is to wait after everything she still asked me to wait and waiting is not going to solve anything, Jan 5 resumption is less than 30 days already
I don't know what to do again at this point, I've called, raised ticket, sent mails, chatted with them. I think the ones you chat with are the most clueless, they just tell you blatantly that they can't help.

For anyone still having "Invalid DS-160 confirmation number", cancel pending appointment and start all over after filling a new DS-160 form. That's what worked for me.

I have the following questions, pls if you can, I'd appreciate responses.

1. Pls, if anyone has successfully added applicant on this new platform (a child, to be specific), kindly share how.

2. Just to confirm, if the interview date is after the intended date of travel filled on the DS-160 form, is it advisable to fill another DS-160 form and take along on the interview date?
