Apostle Paul wasn’t teaching about this to please a man.
His message was driven towards making a marriage work.
So if you don’t submit to your husband, he may not even lose sleep about it, but that puts you on the wrong in the sight of God.

Both husband and wife should follow the Bible's commands, regardless of how the other spouse treats them. The biblical[b] command[/b] reflects God’s will for husbands and wives within the marital institution. For example as you said, some might argue that if you have a good husband, submission comes naturally. However, you could just as easily flip the perspective and say that if a man has a good wife, loving her comes naturally. While this may make it easier, it is not a guarantee. There are husbands who deeply love their wives but are still treated poorly, and the same is true for wives.

Regardless of the circumstances, Christians are called to follow the Bible's teachings on how to treat their spouse. This obedience should not be transactional but should stem from reverence for the Lord and a desire to align with His will in marriage.
