🇸🇾 Syrian soldiers dropped their weapons and fled to Iraq. Those that could not, deserted their posts, removed their camos and went home.

President Assad had about 200,000 Syrian troops, while the HTS terrorist group that took control of the country had no more than 18,000 fighters.

Iranian militias arrived at the Syrian border but President Assad refused to grant them permission to engage the HTS terrorists. He refused to ask Iran for help, leaving Iranian officials confused.

I wouldn’t call them cowards, after all they fought for and defended Assads regime for decades, maybe they just got tired of defending an oppressive regime and gave up the will to fight over nothing. Its obvious Assads time was up.

The difference is very clear. They aren't similar at all. Only a fool will compare both.

US troops were 100% in charge of Afghanistan security and they fled, we all watched it live. They ran away and left both weapons and bases.

But here, it is Syrian Troops of over 200k fleeing. Russian troops are still in their bases. Russia's role in Syria is limited. They didn't deploy ground forces everywhere like the US.

US troops fled while Afghanistan troops remained.

Syrian troops fled while Russian troops remained. Russia will work with the current government.

2 different scenarios.
