Shegzdave:We’ve seen Trossard, Saka , and others use their individual brilliance get us goals before . It’s not every time things will go ur way . Some days are bad days in the office like yesterday . Every available stat yesterday shows we were the better side and we wanted it more ; we had more ball possession , more shots on and off target . It just wasn’t our day. |

BlueRayDick:You’re right. I’m not just happy with the result and felt we could’ve done more that’s all We should be closing the point between us and looserpool |

germaphobe:That name is a metric to how terrible Kai is especially for such chances as seen vs Fulham. I could bring up other names that doesn't rile up many here and still drive home my point. I hope the reaction will be different. Bin that "kai doesn't shoot" It makes him look even more terrible than he already is. A CF that can't shoot? Should i mention others that don't shoot often but if they see chances they'll bury it without a doubt of shooting abilities? Well, better days ahead. Na league we wan win and we'll rather continue to babysit Kai?? |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by germaphobe(m): 8:19pm On Dec 09, 2024 |
daveP:bro you should understand too that each time we loose it isn't obviously because of Kai, yes he has some ish... but those little hesitation from other players, missed chances, not executing well should also be thrown into the discussion, not just making it seem like we only have kai to save us cus in reality he barely does that, nor can he bear the burden of doing that. Martinelli vex me yesterday pass anybody, not just because of that offside but all round of his attacking moves. |

Shegzdave:That more naim we dey demand but like i said, apples can't give oranges. That excuse of bad days is not mentality of champs. Abi na only us get bad days ni? We should but we have dead weight we need to throway to match the brilliance, or outwit them An experienced side in Inter revealed a lot of things we need to adjust in our attack. What make those kind of game painful is that na just 1 goal decides the outcome. It was a reminder of that Bayern loss last season. What are we doing to get moreeee? Our cylinders need to be hot all rounder. That's all i keep saying. Im tired of makeshift excuses for when things go sideways when we keep doing same crap and expecting different results. For now, let's enjoy this setpieces moment. It is masking a lot of things for the time being. Up next, Monaco. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by daveP(m): 8:25pm On Dec 09, 2024 |
germaphobe:I understand that. Martinelli and Trossard as well. And then based on stats from last season alone, many times, even Odegaard saw many shooting chances but preferred to pass. Without stats i can remember 17 instance well. If he shoot na goal. Some pundits opined he needs to shoot more. His goals rack should be fat by now. The system is still dependent on chances. So if chance dey centre and he rather look for Saka or GM, that's another ish to raise. I believe he'll work on that cos we really are scrappy without him. As for me, we need someone that can outperform other goalscorers. |

Shegzdave:If those guys finish above us, by premium standards that's tilting to a bad season for the club. I hope this January window makes the difference. I really pray it does. Im tired of going back and forth over guys that can't rake in goals or show up when it matters most. Xhaka is 1/4 player i said Arteta is yet to directly replace. That guy knows the move to make to make a difference even if we seem to be flourishing in possession. Rather a game reader than a zombie. |

daveP:Anybody that reads the way u hype Xhaka will think he was a big game decider before Arteta came into the team . If anything sef , it was Arteta being patient and giving Xhaka a second chance that made him to be considered as a player u can even mention as decent for us. I mean the same Xhaka that was always racking up red cards and getting beat by opposition players in the heart of midfield ? Xhaka was an average player up until his last season with us. All these talks of not replacing him making us bad holds no water at all. We’ve even performed better than we used since Xhaka left . One thing I’ve noticed about u is that when u love a player , u just can’t let the love for that player go. Even when the player leaves Arsenal , u will always find a way to bring the player into discussions centered around current situation of the team . |

BlueRayDick:Our LHS has never been the same since Xhaka left bro That has led to our over dependence on the RHS Infact last season, it was our RHS over performing, you can see that as soon as odegaard got injured this season our RHS became as useless as our LHS That is because odeggard and Xhaka are the fulcrum of our RHS and LHS respectively If you observe keenly you will realize that saka formed dropped the momemt odeggard was injured, same way martinelli formed dropped the moment arteta replaced xhaka wity havert In 22/23 our attack was very potent because we attack from LHS and RHS, this made us very unpredictable As soon as Havertz came in to replace Xhaka for no good reason, our attack became very predictable because we started relying on the only potent side of our attack which is the RHS |

mostob:My brother, Kai is the main reason we are struggling Kai was the major reason why Xhaka left and because of that our LHS became very useless Kai is the major reason Arteta refused to get a quality 9 this past summer Kai is the major reason arteta let go of ESR and veira, if you think I'm lying, go and check who was the player that occupied odegaard position while odeggard was out injured ![]() Kai arrival took arteta project 5 steps backward If persom tell me say the arsenal wey I watch for 22/23 season go dey depend on corner kicks for goals in 2 years time, I no go believe ![]() |

We need to enter the 10+ goals club tomorrow night. Lookman is so hot right now, i can stop asking for a striker and get him instead. That guy can create something from nothing and fears no one. It's like a Thierry vs Madrid that year. Madrid heroic backline were overwhelmed by him and gradually gave up😂😂😂 Carlos couldn't even catch him. Plus he was everywhere and fast. |

kodded:Merino joined Arsenal August 2024 which means he’s barely 4 months at the club . Recall he was injured and couldn’t play for a while . In fact, he has only played just 8 times in the EPL most of which he came on as a late substitute . How do u compare and judge such player with an Elneny that spent years at the club and played 161 times ? 🤦♂️ If u don’t like Merino , just state it bro nobody Dey beat anybody for here . |

kodded:This is just ur personal bias and contorted view of Arsenal’s attacking play . There’s absolutely nothing wrong with our LHS ; In fact the only reason we don’t rely overly on that side of the pitch is because we have a Saka that always makes every ball count while Martinelli does exactly the opposite . If u indeed watch Arsenal matches keenly u will see the countless number of times Martinelli gets good position but ends up either bumping into opposition defenders or trying to outrun them in the name of dribble and thereby spoil beautiful attacking chances . Martinelli is the major culprit of our LHS being in comatose attack-wise and not Rice like u are trying to imply . You see Rice and Calafiori( the few times he’s played ) combining well to set Martinelli off (just like Odegaard and Timber/White does for Saka on the RHS) ; but Martinelli always messes things up. This happens regularly almost every match day , but somehow u want to blame Rice who was one of our best players last season and Merino who has barely used 4 months at the club . Haba! 🤦♂️ |

We only have two CBs fit for today's match... Saliba and Kiwior. We have made an adjustment to the back four nine times this season. Quite sad |

kodded:Kai isn't the reason xhaka left, xhaka have already communicated that he's leaving before we went searching for kai. Arteta didn't get a striker because he thinks his method of play involves a striker like G.jesus and Kai than a traditional 9. Arteta have said it himself that the Injuries of smith was part of the reason why he wanted to try something new and make way for Nwaneri, same with viera(you dey follow his press at all?) I understand the hate on Kai but trying to bring up fake stats and opinions and try to make it fact isn't welcomed. Thank you. Ps: I need a better score threat from open play too. |
