How We Have Remained Tenacious In Thwarting Sit-at-home In South-East – Army by iamfraud(op): 12:52pm On Dec 11, 2024
The Commander of the Joint Task Force (JTF) for the South-East and General Officer Commanding (GOC) 82 Division, Nigerian Army, Enugu, Major General Hassan Taiwo Dada, has revealed the sustained efforts of Operation Udoka in countering the sit-at-home orders imposed by IPOB/ESN to ensure economic activities thrive in the region.

Addressing Defence Correspondents during a 4th quarter assessment visit to the theatre on Tuesday, Major General Dada highlighted the optimization of operations against the terrorist group, leading to significant breakthroughs in the South-East.

He outlined key operations under Operation Udoka, including Operation Channel Sweep, Operation River Shield, Operation Dragon Spit, and the ongoing Operation Arid Strike.

Major General Dada noted that IPOB’s activities, including its emphasis on the “Republic of Biafra in Exile” (BRGIE), have continued to instigate violence. Other threats include illegal oil bunkering, ammunition trafficking, kidnapping for ransom, assassination, cultism, and communal clashes.

The JTF combines kinetic operations with non-kinetic efforts aimed at winning the hearts and minds of host communities while enhancing intelligence gathering. These non-kinetic initiatives include medical outreaches, humanitarian support, educational programs, and collaborations with the National Orientation Agency (NOA).

The medical outreach programs have provided free healthcare services, including obstetric consultations, dental care, eye checks, laboratory tests, and distribution of mosquito nets, wheelchairs, and other medical items to communities in Enugu and Ebonyi States.

Operation Udoka has effectively countered IPOB/ESN narratives through cyber warfare. By disseminating propaganda content, including videos, images, and messages, the JTF has debunked false narratives and promoted positive public perception of its operations.

Educational materials have been distributed to schools in Igbo Eze North LGA, Enugu State, and markets closed due to IPOB activities, such as the Onuimo Market, have been reopened. Palliatives, including food items, were also distributed to communities in Anambra and Ebonyi States to alleviate economic hardship.

Support has also extended to the widows of fallen heroes, with relief materials and financial aid distributed to 38 widows.

While the potency of IPOB/ESN has been significantly degraded, the group remains resilient, launching opportunistic attacks on military and police personnel to replenish its arsenal. General Dada noted that 21 rifles were lost to these attackers during the review period.

The group’s activities, initially concentrated in Anambra and Imo States, are gradually shifting to Ebonyi State. The proscribed group continues to engage in sit-at-home enforcement, kidnapping, arms trafficking, illegal oil bunkering, and pipeline vandalism.

Major General Dada reaffirmed the commitment of the JTF to addressing security challenges in the South-East through a combination of kinetic and non-kinetic strategies. He emphasized the need for sustained operations to combat the evolving threats posed by IPOB/ESN and other criminal elements in the region.

Can you dumb asses please dismantle the senseless road blocks from Port Harcourt airport into owerri ?

I was driving from Port Harcourt airport where I had gone to pick my cousin into owerri and the number of road blocks I counted were over 40 and this military personnels use the road blocks to extort motorists . It's really crazy .

If your president isn't paying you good salary, why not resign and go get better job elsewhere instead of using road blocks to extort people going about their businesses .

You sit in Antananarivo and write about happenings in the entire SE

Come to Ukpo in Anambra state next monday, lets test this your TV hypothesis and see how well it would work

People still do not have the mind to come out on Monday. Some corporate firms are even considering adding Saturdays to their work days to sub for the 'missing' Mondays

Civil Servants don't want to go to work hence they give stupid excuses. Declare no work, no pay and see what happens.

Kanu condemns violence and sits at home protest.

Oga, rest! You are here claiming you use Operation Udoka to end sit-at-home exercises, whereas for every 5km, the military has both intimidation and extortion points on all the expressways in the SE region!

Imagine a group of people taking paracetamol on another person headache while their ancestral homelands are being taken over daily by very young Fulani herdsmen in oyo , oshun, ekiti, Ondo…killing the Obas , throwing their bodies into the river, stamping their authority and sending hundreds of thousands of Yorubas into exile from their homelands to go and become refugees in Benin republic since 2021. Similar to what happened to some middle belters who Fulani deceived to fixate their heads on igbo matter as army generals in the 60s, 70s and 80s . Today their ancestral homelands from benue , nasarawa , Jos north , parts of plateau, kaduna south , taraba south etc are now firmly in control and dominance of Fulanis with emirs and sarakis installed as heads in their ancestral villages. Same thing is happening in Yoruba ancestral lands today while some of them are focused on igbos who are fighting to protect their own lands. With current trend Twenty years from today most LGAs in Yoruba ancestral homelands with be in the hands and total control of Fulani. If you doubt it ask people of plateau about what happened in Jos north. I never believed it would happen as at 2001 but it happened . Make una continue living in day dream. Sunday Igboho discovered a full village inside Oyo where Fulani herdsmen had houses , exotic cars , generators , billions of naira in cash from robberies and kidnapping but instead of support buhari and his gang forced him into exile. Some fools are day dreaming that amotekun with their Chaka- kpoo guns can match Fulani herdsmen sophisticated weapons and machine guns…smh

Personally, I want the FG to even withdraw all security agents from that place and whatever you do to yourselves, na your business. After all, when you were killing yourselves in the civil war, it didn't even stop Friday groove in Lagos.
