The rest aint viable as they make no profit. So why do you think youues will?I recon you ar3 bein sentimental on this.My own state built one.we sqid thesame thing but ofcos the governor built ot on inflated contracts. Now howmuch does it make negetive naira.
If your state airport is not viable please close it and turn it into a warehouse that will be more useful.

You are saying so because you are not a traveler,I am from Abia state and I know the stress of either landing in PH,Owerri or Enugu then arrange logistics that will take you to Abia state from those airport risking very bad road and coupled with insecurity along the way any time I am visiting Nigeria. Then on my way back same risky journey to PH,Enugu or Owerri. How awesome it will be to leave my house in Umuahia and get to the airport within 20 minutes.Who no like better thing? We support our governor make una rest.
If you leave your house in Umuahia and arrive at the airport in 20 minutes, how about those in Uturu , Isuochi , Aba etc?

The airport is a useless venture and shows that Oti is just another clueless politician. Very few people live less than 30 minutes from an airport and it's perfectly reasonable to expect to travel about an hour to get to an airport.

Abia is surrounded by 4 of the most vibrant airports in Nigeria and no part of Abia state is more than one and half hours away from an airport. Some parts of Lagos, PH, Abuja are a good 2-3 hours from the airport. On good roads, no part of Abia is more than one hour away from an airport so why does Oti think that an airport is a priority?

Why did FG think we need an airstrip in Abia due to absence of airport right?
Abia airport location is right at the center of Abia state between Isiala Ngwa and Ubakala. You guys can cry us blood before the end of Alex Otti's first term we gonna have a brand new airport you can continue using airports from neighbouring states.
