Gbadebo19:The Venezuela debt crisis began in 1901 when Cipriano Castro, Venezuela’s president, defaulted on millions of dollars in bonds owed to European nations. The creditors, especially Germany, Italy, and Great Britain, threatened military intervention if the debts were not repaid. President Castro, who refused to engage in settlement talks, did little to resolve the escalating crisis. Initially, President Theodore Roosevelt believed that that the European nations were justified in intervening in Venezuela in order to protect their citizens and property. In fact, Hermann Speck von Stenberg, a German diplomat and personal friend of the president, wrote the president to explain Germany’s intention to collect its debt. TR’s response in July 1901 approved of Germany’s plans. He also warned the Germans not to annex any territory. Later, Castro ignored a final ultimatum demanding payment of the debt. In response, German, British, and Italian forces seized several Venezuelan vessels, bombarded coastal forts, and established a naval blockade of the country in December 1902. President Roosevelt became leery of continued European intervention in the region. He responded to the crisis by pressuring all parties to reach a settlement. Vic2023:This was what I said the other day that gbadebo and his crew started to insult me. When I said Russia won on the political front by quickly adjusting to the situation and reaching agreements with HTS, they kept saying all sorts of things. Russia is taking a backseat and reaching agreements with the fighting factions while the US-backed SDF forces and other factions keep receiving a beating. |

Gbadebo19:Be honest with yourself bro, Do you think the US really stayed out of the European politics/affairs? Just as the Russians didn't stay out of business of former Soviets States. The top powers have made sure the word "sovereign" is an illusion. |

OkpaNsukkaisBae:You really don't understand many things. Admittedly, the nuclear weapons belonged to USSR, but I don't know why you are spinning the narrative to justify Russia as if there was nothing called Ukraine as at then. If we go by your logic and say Russia is the successor state of the USSR, then everything that was in Ukraine should also belong to Russia. Mind you, it should go beyond nuclear weapons, it should include the people, the identity and whatever was located in Ukraine. Thus, if we say the nuclear weapons never belonged to Ukraine, then the people of Ukraine also never belonged to Ukraine. As you can see, going by your logic validly renders the independence of Ukraine as a nullity which can not be defended anywhere. |

usmanpogo:Of course. If you read my post very well, I said prior to the world wars. I believe the world wars was what caused the influence in European affairs. |

shoodboi2:Are you normal at all? Have you taken your medication? When did you ever see me write anything like an opinion about Russia and Syria as far as the political situation is concerned. All I ever do is to make jest of Russia and it's failure in Syria Stay in your lane and carry your infirmities far far away from me. |

Gbadebo19:Lol Well I can prove that easily but I won't....... now the reason I won't is because you and I don't have the same political view so I will be so happy to see you in the lake of fire As a punishment for standing on the wrong side of major issues Well this my selfish mind talking so don't blame me for thinking that way But my righteous mind really wants to save you because I have experienced the power of God..... But my flesh nature is saying no let him wait to see the repercussions at the end of age. Now second reason is I have seen a post you made where you said you don't believe in God' and next post you said you were a Muslim so it looks strange Third reason God already told us the state of mind of any one who says they don't believe in him Now based on your not wanting to be sorry for your former abusive acts You are entitled to that option nothing wrong with it |

usmanpogo:This is fair to me. There is no where it is written here that Cipriano Castro insisted on paying the debts. |

Gbadebo19:1) As the legitimate successor State of the Union, Russia inherited the assets and debts of the USSR. 2) The nuclear weapon placed in Ukraine was controlled by Moscow. Just like Washington placing nuclear weapon in Turkey or South Korea. Ankara or Seoul cannot claim ownership of these lethal weaponry even though it's in their territory. |

Gbadebo19:By January 1903, the boycott had devastated Venezuela’s economy. A desperate Castro asked President Roosevelt to negotiate a settlement. Not surprisingly, Roosevelt jumped at the opportunity to restore order in the western hemisphere. The British were eager to get out of Venezuela and endorsed the proposal. The crisis abated in February 1903 when Venezuelan leaders agreed to reserve 30% of the country’s custom duties until all of the debt claims had been settled. Theodore Roosevelt did not wish to see European intervention in the western hemisphere again so he announced the Roosevelt Corollary to the Monroe Doctrine in 1904. |

Kingsnairaland:Na you Sabi. I didn't draw my opinion about God from just reading, I drew it from personal experience just like you. And you said one funny thing: you said you would be happy to see me in the lake of fire. You really got my ribs cracking. Listen nigger, there is no fire and nobody will enter any fire. Bad people when they die will only stop existing, while good people will be resurrected (I am speaking from biblical point of view now). The term "hell fire" or "Sheol" was just a word used by the ancient Israelites to describe the pagans of their times who used to put their children into fire as a form of worshipping their gods. Later and repetitive use of the description of that event was what gave birth to the notion that bad people will enter hell fire. |

OkpaNsukkaisBae:The hypothetical situation you used in number 2 does not apply. Those weapons are there based on agreement, it still remains US properties. Your opinion is just like saying Higher education institutions or Companies built in Nigeria by the British during the colonial period remained British properties after independence. No, it doesn't work that way. |

Gbadebo19:Revelation 21:8 ► New International Version But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.” New Living Translation “But cowards, unbelievers, the corrupt, murderers, the immoral, those who practice witchcraft, idol worshipers, and all liars—their fate is in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death. Revelation 20:10 states : “The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.” |

Gbadebo19:The US was not a major player in the world war one, they had the isolationist foreign policies. Isolationists advocated non-involvement in European and Asian conflicts and non-entanglement in international politics. Although the United States took measures to avoid political and military conflicts across the oceans, it continued to expand economically and protect its interests in Latin America. The US was one of the major forces in the Second world war, I hope you understand where I'm going with this. |

Gbadebo19:Apple and oranges. You think say nuclear weapon and higher institutions na the same thing??. There are many Soviet era factories/Varsities which they gave Ukraine. |

usmanpogo:I don't agree with you on the US being one of the major players in the second world war. The US was still fairly (not totally) involved until the Japanese attack on pearl harbor. |

Kingsnairaland:Which devil was cast into the lake of fire? The same one that over 8 billion people are praying and fasting against every day? 🤣🤣 The same one that over 200 religions are still begging your sky daddy to destroy? 🤣🤣 The same one that is still roaming about deceiving your youths? 🤣🤣 Maybe there are up to 500 devils but I am sure the same devil you claim has been cast into the lake of fire is still roaming about. Infact, that devil is you!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣 |

Gbadebo19:Because Moscow want Ukraine to be economically independent. A poor Ukraine will also affect Russian economy. That's some kind of kick off grant so they can start from somewhere |

OkpaNsukkaisBae:Unfortunately, that's your own speculation. If it is true, then it also must have regarded the nuclear weapons as belonging to Ukraine as a matter of security grant for a defenceless country. |

Gbadebo19:I'll continue from where I stopped I'm certain you understand the US isolationist foreign policies now and the effects ( the great depression ) The attack on Pearl harbor began the abortion of the US isolationist foreign policies and the birth of the interventionist foreign policies. The US could have stayed and fought the Japanese in the Pacific, do you wonder why they got involved in Europe after sitting out world war one ? World war two was an economic war, the Germans subs posed a great threat to American vessels after the US declared war on Japan and it's allies. The interventionist foreign policies allowed the US exact it influence in Europe, during and after the war. Both the US and the Soviets on one side against the German and the Japanese, others were a walk in the park. |

usmanpogo:I fairly know where you are going now but I will let you land first. At best, just as you said, we have to agree on facts, not speculations or hearsay. So, can you provide a document that spells out this interventionist foreign policy? |

“Russia and India sign record 10-year oil supply deal” - Reuters Russia has struck its biggest energy deal with India, with Rosneft to supply 500,000 barrels of oil a day to Indian refiner Reliance under a 10-year deal worth $13 billion a year, or 0.5 percent of global oil supply. Rosneft has committed to supplying private Indian oil refiner Reliance with about half a million barrels of crude oil per day. This will bring Russia about $13 billion annually at today's prices. Prices will be revised annually. India has become the largest importer of Russian crude oil after the EU imposed sanctions on Russia over the war in Ukraine. |

Gbadebo19:But the neglectful attitude toward foreign relations characteristic of the interwar years, changed rapidly after the start of the Second World War. The undeniable menace of the Axis—Nazi Germany and its partners Italy and Japan—forced the United States to pursue an interventionist policy. Despite an official stance of neutrality, President Franklin D. Roosevelt authorized the sale of destroyers to Great Britain in return for leases on some Western Atlantic bases and eventually provided wholesale economic assistance to the United Kingdom and the Soviet Union through the Lend-Lease Act of 1941. |

shoodboi2:Russia and Iran rightly estimate that the odds are against the HTS crew. Russia and Iran view them as a transitional power base. It'll fracture, be defeated, or morph into something else. As such, Russia is willing to take a backseat and preserve its bases while influencing future events in a clandestine manner. Iran, however, will be publicly confrontational because of Iraq. But will use Russian outposts for its clandestine activities as well. They're playing Good cop; Bad cop. -Lord |
