You can take him along for sighting but they won’t do anything with him.
His passport photograph suffices.
Thanks for your response. That's exactly how it went . He sat with his mum while I did the submission.

Please advise.
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by rexidic: 11:01pm On Dec 12, 2024
Hello, everyone. I intend to begin a Masters program in South Africa in the first week of January 2025. I applied for a student visa through VFS on October 25th, however, it was declined ten (10) days later due to a medical aid coverage issue. I re-applied on November 14th with the correct documents, and I am yet to receive any decision.

I am quite anxious and concerned 😰. Please what can I do about this issue?

It is better to re-apply with the rejection letter,it works faster

Hi All,
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by rowlandwhy:
Hi All,

Please I will travelling to SA next year January, I'm working for an international organization and the SSA headquarters is in South Africa.

They want me to apply for a multiple entry business visa for 2 years to enable me travel in and out without waiting for visa per trip.

I've gathered the required documents, but need clarifications on below:

1. Bank Statement - I only downloaded the stamped and signed pdf version from my bank's internet banking platform, will this be accepted?
2. Birth Certificate - I have a copy of my BC in my flash drive, can i just print it out and add to the application, must i get it certified before it will be accepted?
3. Yellow Fever Card - My yellow fever card was issued in Ghana when I was there, must I have one issued by Nigeria authorities.
4. Payslips - Can I add like 3 months payslips to support my application?

i will submitting the documents via VFS Abuja next week and will appreciate any tips to get successful.

Thanks a lot.

The medical aid wasn’t valid for 12 months?

Where did you apply? Lagos or Abuja ?

Yes, it was not valid for 12 months. But I renewed the medical aid with momentum and submitted a valid one during my second application. I applied in Lagos, through VFS.

Hopefully you get an outcome this week because it’s usually a month

1. No. Ensure your account statement is physically stamped and signed. You may also consider adding a reference letter from your bank.

2. You don't even need to submit a birth certificate along with your application.

3. Your yellow fever card from Ghana is acceptable. As long as it has a barcode for verification.

4. Your payslip should correspond with your account statement. For Abuja, you need to present 6 months.

Furthermore, to be considered for a 2 - 5 years visa, your company should state that you will make multiple trips to the Republic over the next five years. Also make sure to highlight this in your personal introduction letter.

Bolaji16:
It's for a Conference.
-Invitation letter from Org. (SA)
-Yellow Card (all pages)
-letter of introduction from my employer
-3 months statement (Stamped)
-Letter of Confirmation of balance by the financial institution
-Personal letter of introduction (written myself)
-Dummy return ticket (Directly booked from Airline)
-Dummy hotel reservation (Directly booked from an Hotel 100m away from the venue of the conference)
-Nigeria Passport (Coloured 2copies)
-Passport photograph (2 copies It's better to take the photograph at vfs office or environs as they are aware of the proper specification. An applicant was delayed and asked to retake his photograph due to wrong specification)

PS: If all your documents are intact, you should not spend up to 1hr there. I hope this helps
Please how did you book the dummy return ticket and which airline? Thank you.

Afternoon all, have painstakingly gone through the thread from beginning. So far it seems the DHA e visa is a mess. But I want to give it a trial nonetheless, however I want to make enquiries if anyone has applied of late and gotten. Like applied this December? Thank you.

Hello house.
I currently have a study visa in SA and want my wife and daughter to join me. What is the best/fastest route to go? Should they apply for an accompanying visa or get my wife to come on her own study visa? I will appreciate your advice. Thank you.

Good evening, everyone. Could someone please share an email address to contact the South African embassy for an update on the status of my application? My program starts in the first week of January and I have not received any update yet. What do you advise me to do now? I am very anxious
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by hunee: 4:14pm On Dec 17, 2024
do not send them email. Direct your reminder to the embassy . Read the texts carefully

I guess that’s because we’re gradually entering into the festive period. December can be so busy you know! Keep the hope alive. It’ll be positive soon.

I will advise you that you let her come with her own study visa and your daughter with accompany visa because the benefits of study visa outweigh the accompany visa. I wish you good luck.
