Can Innoson meet the capacity of all the orders he has or has pending? I called Innoson about financing, and I was directed to banks like Access Bank. They should have a bank rep working for them that can process payments. Why can't Innoson market to Nigerians on monthly payments...make deposits, pay up for 80%, pick up vehicles or delivery, and balance up? That can appeal to Diaspora folks who visit home often. Even Nigerian celebrities can be given one or two to use ...they can work with Unions for direct debit for civil servants. They need to be more creative around payments and financing, and the business will blossom. Govt cannot increase Innoson's capacity. The money belongs in the private sector. Govt purchase is not sustainable.

Innoson also needs a car showcase in Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, Abuja, Kano, and major metropolises. Look at Obi Cubana with his Keke. Some will scream that no one is patronizing SE Innoson, but the business must upgrade and meet the times. Lobbying and political alignment help, too. It happens like this even in the West.
Innoson understands manufacturing but not sales. Unfortunately, the people surrounding him don't know better.
It's a good thing we have other better brands springing up everywhere. Let Innoson keep cutting himself short.

This is very commendable from Mr projects
It is not. No single one of those vehicles were made in Nigeria, proforce, innoson, we have a few indigenous car manufacturers. For someone from the south, it is a shame he couldn't patronize someone like innoson.

Mind you I am PROUDLY YORUBA.

Well, this should be extended to every state so as to boost the operational capacity of mobile policing in the nation at large.

For every goodwill of Wike. There is a bad wheel.
I assure you.

Working hard to be in the good books of the Judiciary and the security operatives. So that he can sit on the neck of the masses, do whatever he likes and get away with anything.

He has stolen a late Colonel's property and allocated to himself and cronies. I expect the officers in the Nigeria Army to react.
I see him rushing to dash lands to the military to make them look the other.

I know how Wike thinks. He never sleeps at night, because he worries about the safety of his life and family after committing atrocities. His antidote is to find solace in bottles of whiskey to gain false courage, while thinking who to bribe heavily so keep them from hurting him.

Few years ago, the possibility of a military coup would have politicians like him dash to the borders at several times to practice the art of fleeing from the recompense that his evil deeds have purchased for him.

This really surprised me cos sales matter more than manufacturing. If you cannot sell, you cannot manufacture. If you can sell, you can improve manufacturing. Look at the Chinese Brands, they even do showcase and annual car shows highlighting improvement in their sedans and SUVs. I have seen some cars in Ibadan with logos I did not know only to realize they were actually Chinese brands.

Sometimes I wonder If Innoson is just meant to be an achievement and not really for profit, because I was truly surprised they had no plans in place. I was going to pay monthly and pay in full before even collecting the car, but they had no system in place. I plan to try NORD very soon and see if they have a better system in place.

First, think of the innoson brand as if you were the owner.

With all the elements militating against factors of production such as epileptic electric power, insecurity, political uncertainty, inadequate or inefficient policy formulation, implementation and it's ineffectiveness etc, do you think it is possible to struggle to stay afloat and barely strive in a hostile business environment where manufacturing companies are shutting down or operating at an extremely odd pedestal that forcefully drive up the cost of finished products, yet, still doll out your hard earned finished product in the terms you highlighted above?

I think that would be a perfect recipe for closure.

The business environment has to be friendly first, in a way that enhances productivity and promotes competition so that more of innoson would spring up across the nation and trive, before the thought of 'own through loan' can suffice and hold water.

I support buying local to boost the economy, but these are operational vehicles meant for patrols in rugged environments. That's the appropriate vehicle for the terrain.
Talking about terrain ruggedity, I think the innoson brand strongly factor that in it's SUVs and Trucks line up too.

Tell your state governor to buy the substandard chinese vehicles.
It is mostly the elites in Nigeria that affords to buy cars brand new. But unfortunately, they only pride themselves in certain brands due to reasons that can't fairly be substantiated from most other brands.
Aside that, if innoson cars were available in second hand value, we will have more Nigerians picking them up as long as innoson makes parts available.

Well, I may not have seen alot of these cars to form an accurate opinion on their durability. But I have actually seen innoson MarcoPolo being used since 2016 till date.

I would agree with you if and only if Innoson is a newcomer to the scene. I considered the Naija factor when I said financing could look like --- pay 80% before you can retrieve the car. You can also add a viable job, which is why I also said they can work with the Unions for direct deduction for workers at a particular grade level.

What will happen is an influx of cash monthly that would enable Innoson to expand, create a credit line for itself at the banks, and access favorable terms for expansion and survival. They would also need to train mechanics if required or have service centers. It is difficult to go from a local to a heavyweight champion.

My point here is...do not blame the Government alone for Innoson's failure to expand. The dependency on the Govt as the sole purchaser is not a good strategy. What the Govt would allow, though, is failure to meet deadlines, kickbacks for inferior products, and overpricing. If Innoson truly wants to fight in the big league, it must be ready to meet the demands of Nigerian customers and the expectations that come with that. If the product sucks, you will hear from Nigerians, not the Gov discussing behind closed doors and promising to fix the issues. Innoson is not ready yet in my own humble opinion. Deal with financing and let the cars flood the market...it would sell itself.

God bless u

If innoson can not produce a car for the common man like Nissan Micra then they are on a long thing

Come to south west n see both private owners n public transporters use the car

It's rugged
Parts are easily available
Reasonable fuel consumption
Price is reasonable
N many more

it's like u have forgotten how Buhari supported him with loans n how they reduced import tariffs for him

U want to b playing victim mentality on his behalf when u know nothing

He's just poor in marketing, how many times have u seen innoson advert on TV or newspaper before?

Or any aggressive marketing on social media, he behaves as if he doesn't send Nigerians
