Boko Haram terrorists

Chiemelie Ezeobi

As the war against terror intensifies in the North-east, many dislodged Boko Haram terrorists fleeing into Lagos have been arrested, interrogated and sent for profiling by the Nigerian Army in Lagos.

The General Officer Commanding, 81 Division Headquarters, Major General Isidore Edet, made this disclosure on Monday evening at the decoration of 12 officers to the ranks of lieutenant-colonel, colonel and brigadier-general.

While seven senior officers were promoted to the rank of brigadier-general, four others were promoted to the rank of colonel and one other person to the rank of lieutenant-colonel.

In an interview with THISDAY afterwards, the GOC said, "We are in war time. The Nigerian Army is at war; so the leadership in time of war is what is expected of a newly promoted officer especially the one star general.”

This deciet is getting out of hand . . . One of the last attacks reported from the North had it that locals knew large number of BH were in a neighbouring village but Nigerian army never confronted them.

It seems many cannot see anything good again all in their bids to criticise. The more we complain blindly, the more we show we are not even ready to move forward a bit. Some die-hard supporters had suddenly turned to gangs of attackers looking for every chance to draw blood. But where were these champions of integrity when for 16 years PDP embarked on open destructive political missions and allowed boko haram killers to fully matured? All such people are keeping a collective 'blind eye' to the realities on ground.

It will be poor reasoning to think bokoharam cells are not currently operating in lagos.

Does NA have sufficient intelligence to stop them? NO
Is anything stopping bokoharam from attacking lagos? NO

Its only a matter of time. Nigeria is sitting on a keg of gunpowder and unfortunately Buhari does not care.

God pls,do not allow them carry out any bombing in Lagos cos the result will be fatal. Everywhere in Lagos is congested already. A potential attack here would be devastating.

You people are living in denial. It won't be deceit if it was negative news against the army and the country at large.

Let me ask you, when last did you hear BH took over a village in the north?

Congratulations to the newly promoted officers. Hopefully, they'll carry out their duties diligently.

As for the Boko Haramites, no comment. Do whatever suits them, with emphasis on only the guilty.

They are set of sick people who desperately want the country to burn in order to fulfil their evil agenda but that's not happening. We that pray every day for Nigeria won't allow that happen.

The people wanting Nigeria to burn shall themselves be burnt. Afterall he that waters shall himself be watered.

DSS, Army Hausa/Fulani/Yorubas/BokoHAram/ Just a friendly reminder that The LEADER OF INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF BIAFRA is expected to be released from the Kidnappers in ABUJA. THerefore we are aware of your plans to detonate bombs that will either kill Biafrans Protesters in Abuja or the Leader of IPOB himself. You have already warned of an imminent Boko Haram attack in Abuja. BIAFRANS are smarter than that as we will hold you responsible proportionately should any bomb go off in Abuja today. Be warned

No need being partisan with security issues. Boko Haram still controls territories in the North. Hopefully, we'll have total eradication of this menace soon.

You have a point but I must state categorically that the interest of BH is solely northern Nigeria and FCT. Boko Haram cannot bomb any southern Nigerian state based on their original goal of taking over the entire northern Nigeria and converting every Tom, Dick and Harry there to Muslim.
