This is a case of a father and son battle.
Both Babalola and Dele are both Yoruba by ethic background and colleague's in the legal profession.
Why are the likes of Obasanjo, Bode George, Femi Falana and Ayo Fayose so quiet.
The court have already stopped the sales of the book, the man is still in prison.
The case is still ongoing.
Why will anyone write to wish his name
to be removed from the names of lawyers.
Then they are not fighting for justice.
Is obvious they are fighting to destroy Dele.
But if God is for Dele, at the end, he will win this battle.

They are not colleagues. A well brought up son will not defame his father. Stop being sentimental.

On account if recent developments and disclosures, the reputation of this old haggard looking man is eternally, irreparably tarnished.

Let Olu Faro and Co just take it easy and stop trying to jump the gun. The matter is already in court. Do they want the LPDC to engage in actions prejudicial to the matter in Court? If LPDC disciplines Dele Farotimi as requested, does that not amount to pronouncing him guilty before the Court verdict?

Chidi Odunkalu has even stated that defamation is no longer a crime in Ekiti State. I quote:

Three years ago, Ekiti State enacted into law the Criminal Law of Ekiti State, no. 12 of 2021, which repealed and replaced the state’s pre-existing Criminal Code Law of 2012. If Dele has no prove to his allegations then he may indeed be disbarred.

Personally I think Dele will struggle to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the allegations in his book are true before the court of law.

The statements he has made in public about his personal rift with Afe Babalola does not help Mr Farotimi at all.


They want to cut Dele's livelihood and he may likely go to jail.

They may charge him for treason against the Nigerian state for claiming without evidence that the Nigerian judiciary is a criminal system.

I think Dele needs to plead to settle this out of court. They want to ruin him. The sad reality is that those verbally supporting him today will not be there for him when all is lost.
