Tijani Babangida opens up on the tragic accident that took the lives of his son, who was less than 2 years old, and his brother.

His wife was also seriously injured and left with one eye and a face needing reconstruction.

He and his wife have moved from Nigeria where the accident happened to Netherlands .

His wife's treatment will take at least a year. Although they don't have medical insurance, his Dutch passport means his wife gets a residence permit.

His former teammate at Roda JC, Marco van Hoogdalem who owns a resort offered Tijani and his wife an apartment to stay for the period of recovery

The football world has been supporting Tijani with donations especially since he isn't insured

Nice one

Nigeria happened to him as it did to Wilson Oruma, Rashidi Yekini and many others

I'm surprised these guys don't keep their source of income in Europe (rental properties) even if they want to relocate to Naija. Tijani should have passed the level of collecting apartment to stay from old teammates. He should have 50-100 apartments he's renting out in Holland

Untop how much annual salary?

I reckon he earned probably £500k annually after tax for 7 years at Ajax. Considering house prices then and compounding effect of his investments, that's a feasible number

I couldn’t finish the video , it was too emotional for me .

Kudos to Ajax, Roda JC and every ex teammate that helped him and still helping him.

Like Ibime said , I hope our younger players who are making more money now can really save for raining days . Apart from having a source of income/business domiciled abroad after retirement , they should also make sure they get insured abroad o. Having a passport or resident permit abroad is not enough .

Unfortunately she didn’t put the yansh to any good throughout the series . The yansh was more of a distraction cos she didn’t even have a romantic moment in the show sef.

back from a ban

so i was in a meeting the other day. an online meeting.

so like i said before my old place has transitioned and is now fully nnpc.
and we are seeing the nnpc way of doing things
the ogas we were talking with from nnpc were largely northerners.

in the middle of the meeting, one said i have to go for prayers. this was an oga. He literally cut in on someone speaking and said I will be going for prayers soon. Not can we wrap this up, not we have another meeting coming up.

i was taken aback. though i should not have been. with that kind of attitude to work, and that casual cultural disrespect for everyone else called into the meeting, it is no wonder the port harcourt refinery upgrade took so long.

okay we are on the inspection. this is valve xyb we are checking...okay we have to stop the inspection now - the senior auditor says he is going for prayers.

is that derisive enough for you?

as for kemi - she is playing divide and conquer games. because there is a backlash

I just bought fuel at NNPC filling station in Lagos for N1,015 per liter as against N1,025 per liter . I guess NNPC has slashed PMS price by N10.

POS business is the cause of this problem. You need to see how these guys withdraw money from the ATM machine, Especially now that POS is a full time job. Govt needs to do something!
