Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti, has urged the governments of African countries to ban the leader of the United Kingdom, UK, Conservative Party, Kemi Badenoch, from coming to the continent following her remarks about Nigeria.


DAILY POST reports that Badenoch has stood by her position on Nigeria, despite accusations from Vice President Kashim Shettima and others who claim she has denigrated the country.

Badenoch has allegedly described her upbringing in Nigeria as being overshadowed by fear and insecurity in a country plagued by corruption.


Reacting during a recent Instagram live session, Kuti called for the leader of the UK’s Conservative Party to be banned from entering Africa.

He said, “Many have been praising this woman [Kemi Badenoch]; someone who has been insulting us, not only us but our ancestors. She said we should pay Europeans for colonialism.

“She’s saying we should pay them for killing millions of our ancestors; for all the atrocities that they committed in our lands.


“She’s someone who should be banned by African governments from stepping into Africa. Once she steps into Africa, she should be jailed.”

Successful in what? Tell us. I am here not far from her house and I don’t know what she is successful in. She is representing her Constituency, snd her fellow party members voted her as leader of her party, making her oppposition leader, and that’s all. How do you rate the Prime Minister then? The Prime Minister that just left is an Indian, the immediate past First Minister of Scotland is a Pakistani, they never said a single negative things about India or Pakistan, this ordinary opposition leader is cursing and abusing her parents and family. Is this man okay? She clearly stated she identifies with Yoruba alone not Nigeria, is that bad? Why ban her? We can never ban her in Yoruba land!

Even myself, I'll rather Yoruba was on its own and we're seperate and don't have a thing to do with either Hausa/Fulani or Igbo! What does Hausa/Fulani give? Besides the good of agriculture (that they forcefully stop other regions from having), Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen. What does Igbos give? While they have seem to have just a tad bit good, violence with IPOB/UGM/ESN brutal kidnapping and killings, fake products and 419, drug, and victim mentality (manipulation).

While we have our own for body, with some news of ritualism and some internet scams, it's clear our challenges are reasonable and could be curbed with frantic solutions giving all we need to stand alone and progress somewhat comfortably.
