this would have happened to me my first day climbing 3 storey building to install AC in 2019, God spare my life that day. i almost fell down that day. 😭

Safety is not valued in that part of the world. The minimum requirements to access and work at heights above 2m, include helmet, fall arrest equipment, a certified ladder and of course someone holding the ladder when someone is on it.

It's so sad how negligent people can be about their own wellbeing as well as the safety of others.

This has to be one of the only nations on Earth where electrical and wood workers climb heights without a single safety gadget... Not even gloves and helmet (the barest minimum).

Well strapped hard hat and harness would have saved him. Most Nigerians don't value safety.

Ogun is just a cursed place. All the people I know from ogun have adopted lagos as their home never to return again. Watch as they will mine his skull now

What 60 years old doing on top a ladder if not hardship and poverty? Tinubu is barely above 60. And wike is not upto 60. Just imagine them climbing ladder to second floor.

Climbing a two storey building with a gas cylinder in ones hand is not safe. It will be difficult to get a balance.
A scaffold would have been safer.
If not for bad economy and hardship, why will a 60 year's old man still be climbing such a dangerous height.
At 60 year's, someone should be near retirement or withdraw to do only very light and simple jobs.
