The sufferings is too much and you guys forget that you deserve some things as citizens.

So All the mineral resources in this country is of no benefit to the citizens right?

No wonder only politicians are citizen of Nigeria because they benefit from the free natural resources while the ordinary Nigerians struggle as if the country is empty.

They enjoy free security, fueling of car, wardrobe allowance, travel allowance infact everything is free. Think about it. U are just suffering!!!

Guys I just have this thought go through my minds as I see the sufferings Nigerians are going through, because for me I can't pick anything right now.

A situation where there is unemployment, cost of electricity is high, food and petroleum prices are on the high side leading to untold hardship everywhere.

This brings me to the funny but reasonable question of what you currently enjoy as a citizen of the giant of Africa?

Almost ALL the responses from male commentators mentioned sex. Thus, for a Nigerian man in Nigeria, affordable and accessible sex is the major factor they enjoy.

That's the same point am making. You are still suffering and not enjoying anything from this country. Have you ever benefiting from the natural resource of this country? Do you have good security? Do you enjoy cheap fuel? What about electricity? What about health system any good hospital anymore? Benin Republic enjoy 24 hours electricity from Nigeria support.

Sirbalo the comedian has relocated to Ghana. Did u ask yourself why?

FROM MY OWN PERSONAL EXPERIENCE (NOT YOUR OWN! MY OWN !!) :

-Free Primary and Secondary Education (needs serious improvement)

-Subsidized Tertiary Education from BSC to PHD (needs serious improvement)

-Opportunities for Innovation especially epcially in ICT and general technologies.

-Cheaper Professional bodies and platforms to take engage with, contribute to and grow your professional profile.

-Well paying Civil Service Job (this needs to improve across board)

-Low property and other taxes and levies (for now)

-Initially, subsidized cost of fuel (which just changed)

- Positive outlook and ability to take life head on regardless of challenges. Struggles that refine the best out of you or bring out the worst out of you. (This needs to change. We do not need all this self imposed hardship to bring the best out of us. At least in human nature I hope not).

- Large market/population for business. Fair and growing entrepreneurial ecosystem.

- The feeling of being home. Foods you know. Places you know. Comfort and convenience of a country and a people that you know their way of life. Freedom of being with people who look like me, think like me.


- The Nigerian Passport and die hard spirit of resilience to be able to shuttle between Nigeria an over sea country as a citizen of two countries and legal permanent resident of others.

-Cheaper access to more natural foods, Whole Foods, plants, etc. when compared to many other countries.

Of course the negatives are more:

-Failing government institutions
-Confused government policies
-Insecurity and increasing crime
-Corruption, stealing, looting, and embezzlement especially in public sector and by politicians
-Poor social amenities
-Horribly poor public safety
-Falling, failing, outdated and unfocused educational system.
-Poor quality of environment and aesthetics
-inadequate and Poor public recreational facilities
-Inadequate encouragement and incubation of technological hubs and scaling of ideas from design to production especially of equipment
-etc etc

However, I still strive to look at the bright side.
