I do not have any electrical issue whatsoever.

The wiring harness of the car is intact. No CEL.

The issue is actually weird.
Bros, you have a very weird problem. Most weird problem are electrical. You can not rule anything out at this point cos anything can be the problem. I hope you do not have an ECU problem. Just keep your options open.
How do you know you do not have an electrical issue whatsoever?
How do you know your wiring harness is intact?
In the Honda repair manual, most troubleshooting ends with "replace the ECU". So keep that in mind.
Good luck.

The wiring harness has not been tampered with. I can tell you that much. I'm thinking the washers on the new plugs is the culprit.

Good evening everyone, please I need urgent help... My 2009 Honda Accord (Eagle spirit) started shorting oil and it smokes a little once in a while. It all started like two months. So last week Monday it started giving knocking sound. I contacted a mechanic that said it's the crankshaft. So we removed the engine and changed the crankshaft and the mental, we also changed the rings so that it won't short oil again.... But when we started the car, the engine started smoking heavily, we washed the plugs and did all sort of things but the smoke didn't stop, so we contacted some mechanics and they said the piston rings we bought was fake. Some suggested that we buy original Honda rings, while some suggested I buy another engine (weh money no dey) Please my people, if I buy original 2009 Honda Accord piston rings, will the smoking stop? And also, where can I buy this original piston rings.... Below are the pictures of the rings my mechanic used for the car

Hello guys, something strange is happening.

My spark plug does not fire well and I decided to change them.

After trying 2 sets of new ngk plugs the car refuses to start. If I plug back the old ones. It'll start at once.

Today I got the original denso and it did a hard start but managed to start and it drove well.

Now I'm trying to start it, but It is not responding. If I plug in the old plug. It would respond at once.

Image one is the picture of the old plug. I got the exact iridium ngk replacement.

Modified : I replaced the new with the old one by one but same thing.

The old plug does have washers. I'm thinking of removing washers from the new ones.
This matter is strange..
What car?

None at all.. If I install the new ones weird things begin to happen.

Airbag light comes on, key light blinks on dash.

A P1659 code also comes up I think.
8th gen Accord?
You've not gotten original plugs.
Get one and you'd be fine.

Nothing wrong with ECU if it's the 8th gen Accord.
That car would do same if you use a fake plug.

Did you check the ring gaps in the block before installing?
The bores might be too wide and out of spec. Fixing the so called original rings in an oversized sleeve won't fix the issue.
Take the block to a machine shop to either resleeve the block to the right size or bore the block wide and replace piston and rings accordingly.

The block is perfect condition, just the fake rings

This is the side by side image of both plugs. Noticed the ring are of siddeenr width. The ring on the older one seems to be smaller.
They both produce spark on the coil.

From the image seems both plugs are not the same length. The one on the right looks longer by some few centimeters. That can cause the ignition issues

I thought I was the only one that noticed that. But I thought it was my eyes or the camera angle. I didn't believe he would be using different length plugs.

. U shouldn't have allowed them even open your engine ,talkless of changing rings. Your rings didbnot break, rather they got seized and stuck and did not expand.now the car problems will be unlimited.they aont torgue back the engine to its factory settings, they wont torgue back the valve springs to settings.whwn u should have soaked the chamber at home.alaye kiss that car good bye...

Go and read about piston striking a spark plug and its effect.

Camera angle, they are of the same length.

The only difference is from the marking I made on both plugs. I have not seen any plug with smaller ring width similar to the one on the old one..

2cribz. I had the washer removed to be sure it wasn't the cause since the old ones didn't have.

Like I mentioned earlier, I do not have any CEL. I just want to tune it and the old ones may not be firing as they should leading to increased fuel consumption.

Good evening everyone. I have a pressing issue I hope to get help with. I believe my car to be having a transmission problem. When driving, the car suddenly goes numb like it was on neutral and my foot on the throttle makes the car rev. I would have to stop and restart the car to continue until it repeats itself, within seconds, or some minutes.

Sometimes, the D light in the dashboard blinks when this happens.

The car is a Honda accord 03. Appreciate any help.

your transmission is slipping. Check your transmission oil, if it at the right guage. Also does your transmission oil smell burnt, what is the colour of the oil?

Any 07/08 odyssey owner here?

I used mine to travel from Lagos to the East yesterday, the first time I'm going that far with it. About 2hrs to end of my trip, I started hearing a whirring sound from the engine and it's been giving me concern.

Has anybody experienced this?

Any good advice is welcome

You have to investigate the sound and give us more details before you can get any reasonable advice here. The sound could be anything. What side of the engine is it coming from? When does it happen? When does it increase? When does it reduce? When does it stop? Any additional information would also be helpful.

Thanks for the reply. I already changed transmission oil earlier this week. I used jesco. I do this every there years. Still no results. The oil changed was dark.
