PBAT PETROL SUBSIDY REMOVAL...A PUNISHMENT TO NIGERIANS?

Obasanjo spent
$15billion on subsidy in 8yrs

Yar Adua spent
$6billion in 3yrs

Jonathan Spent
$36billion in 6 yrs

Buhari spent
$50billion in 8yrs

Between May 2000 - May 2023
Nigeria spent about $106billion on cheap fuel

This money could have given nigerians over 80,000Mw of Electricity, Fix all NGR refineries, Fix all the major roads in NGR, Fix Ajaokuta steel & other but it was wasted in Subsidizing petrol not for only nigerians

between 2000 - 2023
NGR Debt equally grew from $28billion to $108billion despite Paris club debt forgiveness of about $18billion.

in 2023 NGR was servicing it's debt with over $18billion annually..seeking to borrow over $25billion on a revenue of less than $20billion.

it took a cumulative number of 3billion Nigerians to consume petrol Subsidy of $106billion in 23yrs

If PBAT continued same pattern it would just take 10yrs(2023 - 2033) to have another 3billion consume $106billion or more of petrol Subsidy raising NGR debt to over $212billion, increase debt servicing to over S40billion
with revenue remaining around $28billion(revenue only grew in value by about 70% between Obasanjo and Buhari)

Note our revenue will only be enough for 70% of debt servicing nobody will be receiving salaries again, so teachers , policemen, soldiers, Doctors and others will all go home no money to build any roads, hospitals and others
the country will become another banana republic of lawlessness and Chaos

if you think you are in pain today
what would have come without PBAT reforms especially removal of subsidy would have been amaggedon

Nothing good will come out from T-pain's much hyped economic reforms, without tackling the present decadence and nauseating corruption in the Nigeria system, because whatever accrued benefits will still be squandered by these corrupt entities in government, and the masses will end up benefiting nothing else than more hardships.
If T-pain is indeed a courageous leader, let him tackle the much vexed issue of corruption in the system.
sensible Nigerians are not deceived by the heightened propaganda by his cronies and the expired political jobbers.
The States governors have been receiving more monthly allocations from the center than ever before, but does it translate to the benefits of the Nigerian masses, in all these states ? the obvious answer is NO.

Common, I’m not a big fan of the president. However, Dogara specifically mentioned local government autonomy and the recent tax reforms. Can you fault his assertion that those are two bold and welcome moves the president has made? I know it’s social media but that does not stop us from putting on our thinking caps when discussing issues (especially when raised in a commencement speech).

He is, sincerely none of the past presidents and even aspiring presidential aspirants can try the reforms being undertaken by this administration. They don't even know how to do that.

T- pain has been leading people to prosperity in all his life and it was successful till date. Go and check.

Wait, I do ask questions like, if someone can not build himself and people around him and immediate family to prosperity, how can such person build a nation??

Someone said he has no shoes, if voted, then all Nigerians will have no shoe. If A civil servant that worked for 35 years and retired with no record of creativity and of taking hard administrative decisions are voted, what did u expect? Just pay salaries and contractors finish.

This time, a man with vision and enduring legacy is in charge. I love that LG autonomy die, let's see how my LG will be receiving Billion monthly and there will be no massive development over time.
And now he is leading Nigerians to death and poverty.

So instead of subsidizing fuel, they should just share the money among themselves .
Subsidy is not the problem. Corruption is. A career criminal is in power. If you like no run from Nigeria dey talk nonsense.

Dogara has successfully been bought over by Tinubu's camp. Not more than two months ago his name surfaced, let me say rumoured for consideration as minister. It was that time I knew the man has been bought over.
I am still wondering the big deal in this their messaged local government autonomy. It seems many people and hailers of government doesn't the type of course are in and what has happened in the past.
During OBJ's regime in the first tenure, no Nigerian that doesn't feel the impact of local government areas. It was the splitting of the local governments into LCDCs that caused the issue that finally came up afterwards. State governors started taking advantage of the lacuna in the constitution and that was what brought about the hijacking of the LGAs by the governors.

Those that are rejoicing because supreme court self pronounced local government areas autonomy, are doing so for partisan reason. This is why you see Soludo formulating his own way of muscling the LGAs again because the supreme court pronouncement is not constitutionally embedded. He has challenged anyone to take him to court and none has done so.
It's the same pronouncement they are still trying to amend the constitution for at the national assembly am not yet done. The pronouncement is just a backdoor own, the leaders or governors will always find a way round it, if not embedded in the constitution.
