From the examples given, I could see that none among the elites gave his daughter's hand in marriage to some1 at the bottom of the ladder such as Almajiri boy. During my service years, I have even witnessed a high-class wedding where all almajiris were flugged to leave the premises of the occasion, yet the northern elites would come out to defend the existence of the almajiri system with the last drop of blood in them. This is to tell u that they want this system to keep existing so that it would be a strong weapon for them to use at any time. They can not give out their daughters to them in marriage, yet they would keep defending the existence of almajiri system in the north. God will judge u all.

That's good but another thing is , the other party can't be trusted in having this mindset they solely marry most times for poverty eradication scheme meaning they are just there to raise their status and when this is achieved the probability of the marriage succeeding tends towards zero than one. It's better to have a party that doesn't have financial issues so you understand that the problem of finances isn't the reason they are dating so you don't have to repeat the cycle of marriages because of people taking and leaving. The world is so cold.

But my advice to you is try and purge yourself of poverty mentality. Look for a way to be around the rich, business moguls preferably even if it involves working for them as house keeper. The rich guys girls from poor home get married to that i know and that i have seen are those ones earning 7 digits in Nigeria, some based abroad but come to Nigeria and marry them then take them over. My neighbour, a lady whose family cannot afford 3 square meal got married to a Nigerian guy who's Canadian citizen. He came all the way from Canada to Nigeria. Got married to her and moved together with her to Canada. Men will forever marry women from poor home. It is how it is.

My cousin just finished her service. She's dating a guy earning 1.8m monthly in the financial sector and has other businesses he's running. A young guy in his 30s. I heard he's planning to relocate to US after their marriage. This guy may not be rich but you can't say he's poor coming from Nigeria standard of living. These are the category of guys I'm telling you that girls from poor home still mingle with and get married to them. Even at that not all girls had the opportunity as these calibre of guys are not much. Abi how many guys dey earn 500k for naija?
