There was the news that FEC had approved the 2025 budget. A part of the news says that the budget was prepared with a projection of ₦1,400/$.

Knowing that the dollar has been hovering between ₦1,500 and ₦1,700 during most of this year, I wondered why they're projecting ₦1,400 for 2025, knowing how such an unrealistic projection can affect the implementation of the budget.

I was hoping that people would engage intelligently with my question: Like telling me why FG projected the exchange rate. But, NO ONE DID.

Instead, the only response I got was someone telling me that "Pandora Criminal" will never be president😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣. What is the rational connection please?

I've been laughing my heart out tbh. And he got many people liking the post, lol! Most Nigerians now reason at the level of those two foolish goats who fell inside a river in a nursery school story as a result of a hateful mindset. They're destroying themselves but think they're destroying other people.

So, a negative difference of 9.5% for every dollar to be spent is close enough for you? Wow!!!

that's a difference of nearly 10% in a country where exchange rate has not been stable in the last one year and may rise...and these govt mostly spend in dollars...

let's try and be calling a spade a spade...

Patting the govt on the back for their BS, is one of the reasons we are here...

This is the smallest negative difference we’ve seen in a while. Previously, when the budget rate was N450 per dollar, the dollar was trading at N750.

And the misguided individuals will end up passing their lack of awareness to their children, whom they are struggling to support. It's quite perplexing. If tribalism had improved their standard of living, I could understand it a bit more.
