Reminds me in 1996 that despite Nigeria did not compete at the AFCON that year and kalusha Bwalya was Afcon best player and Afcon highest goal scorer and rated 12th world best player that same year, Kalusha was denied the CAF African footballer of the year which was instead given to Kanu who with the eagles won the Atlanta 96, football olympics. And yeye people in this forum still consider it today as youth tournament that should not be considered as a yardstick just because our very own lookman is in the race to clinch it and the excuse that Hakimi led morrocco came 3rd in this year Olympics.
