I tried applying for my F1 visa via the new Avits portal but it's been on pre-approval stage. They finally sent a message that my payment has reflected in my account but still in the pre-approval stage and I can't book for an appointment. School starts on the 27th of January and I'm also travelling with my dependent. What do I do. I haven't even paid her visa fee yet cos mine hasn't left pre-approval stage for the past 5 weeks. How do I contact the consulate. Thank you

Please, has anyone gotten approved for an F1 visa without school funding for a master’s degree program? I know getting school funding will be helpful but I only got $3000 scholarship, which leaves my deficit at $33k.

I resume in January 2025 and I am currently at the appointment pre approval stage in my visa application process. It’s late now to get admission for another school for spring semester and my department doesn’t offer graduate assistantships.

I just want to know what my chances are so I can prepare accordingly. Thank you.

I was put on administrative processing.
His last question to me was how I got a date so fast after my previous rejection (I was rejected in October 16th).
