Nigerian musician, Adekunle Kosoko, popularly known as Adekunle Gold, has stated that kindness makes one turn to a foolish person. In a post shared on his social media account on Monday, the singer stated that it took him a while to come to this conclusion. According to him, a sprinkle of wickedness is needed to thrive in the world. “Took me a while, but I can confirm now that in this life, you need a sprinkle of wickedness to thrive. Kindness go turn you to mumu,” he stated. One of his followers has however disagreed with the singer’s analogy. The follower identified simply as Oludotun Sunday, described this analogy as a big fat lie. He maintained that kind people never regret being kind, and added that they also do not wish to be wicked. He stated, “This is a hot fat lie He maintained that kind people never regret being kind, and added that they also do not wish to be wicked. He stated, “This is a hot fat lie Kind people are kind and never regret their kindness. If you are wicked, you are wicked. If you are kind, you can never wish and do not need to be wicked. We live in a time where kindness is taken as weakness and is prone to be exploited util you are financially, physically and emotionally drained. I have come to the realization that learning to say "No" even if you can help is ultra important in this modern life...sadly that is what to naturally kind people feel as if it is wickedness. The disadvantage of being kind all the time is that you unconsciously teach people to remember you only when they want something...and once they unconsciously label you as the solution provider..they will never turn up for you when you are in need even if they have the means...especially humans hate to remember who helped the because they want to be able to boast that they made it all their own efforts and nobody helped them. Na ten lepers Jesus heal, na only one come back come thank Jesus. The day a blind man can see..he will throw away his walking stick. Same with the crippled man on crutches. This December I just dey ignore all the different requests wey I dey get...and it will be like that for a very long time....after we wish ourselves merry Christmas and happy new year, I dey change my number and hibernate all social media accounts.
