Myths are stories and narrations that never happened anywhere but it's spread around to achieve a point. Hen e, in this account, it's to destroy the manhaj of Rosul and those that are upon it.

We want to uncover the myth of spoon and Jabata.


What Jabata urged is that,


Eating with 3 fingers is Sunnah of rosul which has been forgotten and abandoned. He urged Muslims to start using it and spread Sunnah of how to eat all over the world.
That's exactly how rosul and his companions and salafs ate

We still dey use spoon chop o!

Make he spread am go Saudi if them no go behead am!

The fact that it's a lost Sunnah that people have forgotten and even the non Muslims and Muslims are not familiar with..

You as a an ahlu Sunnah... A salafi.. you have absolutely no excuse to keep using 3 fingers to eat..

What's the essence of your ahlu Sunnah or salafi when you can't make Sunnah spread..

Now.. those mumayiun, ignorant Muslims, Sufi, Sects and others waged war against this Sunnah and even mocked people using it. They even ate intentionally with spoon to mock people trying to revive sunnah

Whatever is called sunnah means ibaadah.. Means an act of worship.

Now, let's see the hadiths on eating with 3 fingers and hear what rosul said

There's lots of hadiths on it but I'll post just one.

Hadith

"وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ، وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ الْعَبْدِيُّ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ،
بْنُ سَلَمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ إِذَا أَكَلَ طَعَامًا
لَعِقَ أَصَابِعَهُ الثَّلاَثَ ‏.‏ قَالَ وَقَالَ ‏"‏ إِذَا سَقَطَتْ لُقْمَةُ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلْيُمِطْ عَنْهَا الأَذَى وَلْيَأْكُلْهَا
وَلاَ يَدَعْهَا لِلشَّيْطَانِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ وَأَمَرَنَا أَنْ نَسْلُتَ الْقَصْعَةَ قَالَ ‏"‏ فَإِنَّكُمْ لاَ تَدْرُونَ فِي أَىِّ طَعَامِكُمُ
الْبَرَكَةُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏"

Anas reported that when Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ate food he licked his three fingers, and he said:
When any one of you drops a mouthful he should remove anything filthy from it and then eat it, and should not leave it for the Satan. He also commanded us that we should wipe the dish saying: You do not know in what portion of your food the blessing lies.

Someone who refuses to eat with right hand 3 fingers, is that a sin or bidiah?

Hadith

أَبِي عُمَرَ - وَاللَّفْظُ لاِبْنِ نُمَيْرٍ - قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ،
اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ جَدِّهِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏"‏
إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَأْكُلْ بِيَمِينِهِ وَإِذَا شَرِبَ فَلْيَشْرَبْ بِيَمِينِهِ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَأْكُلُ بِشِمَالِهِ وَيَشْرَبُ
بِشِمَالِهِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Ibn 'Umar reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:
When any one of you intends to eat (meal), he should eat with his right hand. and when he (intends) to drink he should drink with his right hand, for the Satan eats with his left hand and drinks with his left hand.

وسلم بِشِمَالِهِ فَقَالَ ‏"‏ كُلْ بِيَمِينِكَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ لاَ أَسْتَطِيعُ قَالَ ‏"‏ لاَ اسْتَطَعْتَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ مَا مَنَعَهُ
إِلاَّ الْكِبْرُ ‏.‏ قَالَ فَمَا رَفَعَهَا إِلَى فِيهِ ‏.‏"

Salama b. Akwa' reported on the authority of his father that a person ate in the presence of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) with his left hand, whereupon he said:
Eat with your right hand. He said: I cannot do that, whereupon he (the Prophet) said: May you not be able to do that. It was vanity that prevented him from doing it, and he could not raise it (the right hand) up to his mouth.

Eating with left hand is sinful.. that's why Allah punished the person of the sin which is unable to lift the hand

Bidiah is simple...

Changing Ibaadah that's in Islam into something else..


Eat with your right hand 3 fingers...

But the right hand 3 fingers is replaced with cutlery.

Just like 5 hands fingers for tasbih is replaced with tesubah



Both are bidiah and kufru

And no way someone who calls himself ahlu Sunnah will be eating with spoon unless he's mumayiun.

Even if such person will be called kafir, eating with spoon would be the very least.... bidiah and kufru regarding aqeedah would have come first

Ash- Shaykh Albani, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:
“It is strange that some feel uncomfortable to eat with a spoon believing it is opposing the Sunnah while it is (in reality) from the habits of (the people) and it is not an act of worship like riding a car and a plane and similar to that from the new means (of technology)”.

Also ash- Shaykh Muqbil, may Allah have mercy upon him, has refuted those who have lied upon him that he has written a book on the impermissibility of eating with spoons, as found in many of his tapes, whereas the Shaykh clarified that it is permissible to eat with spoons.

Even Shaykh Zayd Al- Madkhalee too says there's no sin on eating with spoon https://www.emaanlibrary.com/video/ruling-eating-spoon-shaykh-zayd-al-madkhalee/

The great Fiqh Fataawa reads: 'He (Ibn Taymiyyah may Allaah have mercy upon him) was asked: 'Is it an innovation to eat with a spoon?' He replied: 'It appears that it will be an evil innovation if the spoon is touched by some saliva and then one puts it back inside the food, or if one eats with the spoon to show off or imitates the non-Muslims, otherwise it is permissible to eat with a spoon.'

Therefore, there is no harm in eating with a spoon, but it is better to eat with the hand.

What's clear from their speech is that using spoon is permissible!
Unlike those that calls eating with spoon bid'a and whoever uses it are non-Muslims!
