Firstly nothing would have drawn the US into world war 2 if the imperialist haven't attacked pearl harbour the US was neutral during the early years of the conflict.

The Japanese withdrawal from certain places won't have ended the war. The surrender of the emperor and the Japanese military would have stop the war. The Japanese were proud people and where going to fight till the last man especially when defending the homeland.
