Hello guys. I had my F1 interview at the embassy in Lagos today. It wasn't successful as I was denied! The VO officer only asked me questions about who's going to for my studies. She didn't ask any questions about the school nor my course of study. All through my stay there, I personally didn't see any F1 visa that was approved today. Even people with funding from their schools were denied.
You had funding too?

Nothing from here too. I’ve sent emails because that is the only way to reach out. What have you done so far?

Hi everyone. Seeking for help. I had earlier booked an appointment in AVIT website and had gone for an interview, and I was denied visa. I want to pay online (I have someone that we assist me doing that with credit card) and rebook for another appointment. For over two weeks i have been trying to do that to no avail. Each time I click pending appointment request the page keep loading endlessly. I have written to AVIT on two occasions and no meaningful response. Is there anybody that can help? Again, is it advisable to use new email to create a new AVIT account should this problem persist and no solutions coming up

I just spoke with the usembassy customer service, and she said the embassy closes on new year and Christmas. I’m assuming that all other days there could be approvals granted but they could be really slow. Also, she said the delay is due to the queue (the number of people also requesting for approval), no priority will be given to applicants with early dates.

Lastly, she wasn’t nice at all, very reluctant response. So just Incase you want to call, nobody will pity you because you’re resuming early. The prayer right now is for them to quickly respond to us, we should be the next ones on the queue and get an approval.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for all you do. My brother has a Bachelor of Law from Babcock(3.99/5), has finished law school and currently working in a law firm roughly 2 years experience. He wants to do his LLM (intellectual law) in the US. We have applied to a bunch of schools. We have been reading through the threads and found it helpful. However we have some questions.
1. What other schools does anyone know of that has affordable tuition/offers scholarships to foreign students?
2. He got admission with 50% scholarship into Syracuse but it’s still expensive as we have to pay about 35kusd (scholarship deducted).
3. What are his chances of becoming a US lawyer afterwards? Has anyone gone through this process before
4. A friend suggested Mpower loan but I’m worried about the visa interview regarding the loan.

Thank you!
what was the total cost of attendance?

Hello house,

My WES evaluation came late. So I couldn't meet up with most schools deadline for fall 2025 intake. I've applied to Two schools but I need 3 more. Please if you know any school still open for fall 2025 intake with full funding, please let me know. Thank you.

Before you apply check the school requirements and you can send the admission team a msg about any concerns you have they will respond. quote author=Poormanpikin post=133296130]Good evening ladies and gentlemen,

I hold a diploma in law and I want to use this result to apply to an institution in the US for a four year program, will I be accepted into year 3?
Thank you so much. But can a diploma in Nigeria be considered Associate degree in the US? I mean ND not HND.

Thanks

Fall deadline for international students in most schools is in march 2025. I'm surprised you say you can't meet up. Send in your applications now so that you can get a decision by February.

Create ticket, contact support through calls and mails. You might be lucky to get their response and get the issues resolved.
