UPDATE: Governor of Lagos State, Mr @jidesanwoolu today handed over 250+ brand new patrol vehicles, hardware, communications gadgets and protective gears to the police to boost security operations in Lagos State.

Today at the Lagos State Security Trust Fund 18th Annual Town Hall Meeting on Security with the Governor.

And funny enough Lagos State is not under any form of terrorism or security threat and they are already proactive about improving Dia state's security. Whereas some states that have security issues won't learn from this and improve Dia security but will be waiting for someone in ABUJA to protect them.

Sanwo this is good development but unfortunately I can bet you in the next 6months you will not recognise those vehicles anymore the headlight will be gone, the indicators will be gone, the break light will be gone, the doors will be hang by electric cable and the tyres will be a dancing tyres for sure.

I have been meaning to ask this question; what happens to the hundreds of vehicles and hardwares and even communication gadgets donated by state governments?

Because after the fanfare and media hype, I keep seeing the police in rickety buses and jalopy pickups, sometimes they do not have vehicles for patrol.

Wetin dey happy to the vehicles wey dem they display for media like this? Dem no dey use the vehicles where we go see dem?

Who for explan this mystery?
