Tinubu as the governor of Lagos highjacked 10million acres of land from river around lekki axis to strengthen the economic activities of the state

Still confusing how Ekiti not only top Ondo but also double.

I think they need to explain better.

Oyo 32 Ogun less than 2.

I doubt the authenticity and credibility of the information.
Infact!!, Ekiti topping both Ogun and Ondo is unexplainable, What happened to Ogun state!!, see Ondo state!, is responsible for the very poor performances of these two states?

All mtn airtime, data purchase in Nigeria is under Lagos. Someone that lives in Calabar making use of mtn phone line is having his VAT recorded under Lagos because MTN headquarters is in Lagos.

Until VAT is recorded according to point of sales, stop basking in the euphoria laid on faulty foundation.

If everyone was controlling it's resources, how on earth would have Imo State with about N200m VAT contributions few months ago be able to survive 🤔

Smh. Lagos was already an economic hub over a century ago. It will take your state another 100 years to be where Lagos was 60 years ago.

That's a picture of Lagos in the 1960s o
If everyone is to control his resources why is Lagos state taking panadol for the headache of imo state

The new Bill is actually to ensure that VAT is not paid at source but where Consumption takes place.. it would ensure that these states don't look as pathetic as they look above compared to Lagos..

But the Joker is.. the state would get more but Lagos would get even more than stated above.

The idea is to get the state governors work even harder.. now all they do is sit back, wait for FAAC and wait for the President to use them to get votes for Presidential election.
i think may of them will still be as pathetic but the difference would be that their ability to increase revenue from VAT would be in their hands.

Take MTN for example. If you improve the climate in your state and attract more residents with need for communications infrastructure than that VAT from MTN will be under you control. So as an example if you are able to attract a data center to your state and other companies in the country pay that data center VAT for data storage services in your state then you get the VAT because the storage service is rendered in your state. What this means is that states will be competing to attract such a business to their states.

Hopefully this will also mean the days when you will want to site a business in a state and instead of them offering you incentives, they will be looking for profit sharing and other ways to kill your business before it has even started are gone.

Use one of the old western states to make noise, not Lagos that was developed by Nigeria common wealth since 1914. Lagos is not part of old western Nigeria. Very soon now Gbaji people in Abuja will start making noise on how they develop Abuja from time immemorial.

All the Yoruba states are down below the table but it's anambra state that is among the top 5 that's your problem.

Ogun state that you people claim has more industries than the whole south east region is below the table while anambra comfortably sits at the top ladder over all the Yoruba states despite the sit at home

God has blessed the south east and the region will continue to prosper.
Who cares about yoruba states, Mr. low self esteem? They never see beyond tribal colours, prisoner.

As if you don’t know how Nigeria system operates. MTN, oil companies, banks can’t relocate their headquarters because states don’t have power to do so. Regionalism is do that.

I will only take Yorubas serious if they can support regional government. They know that SE have the potential to govern theirselves, with standard International airport and functional River ports, SE will survive. SW and North are hiding under centralised government of Nigeria to hide their incompetence. People buy a bottle of cococola in Anambra and pay the VAT to Lagos. Bunch of jokers.

Osisiomo alone in Aba , Abia state where Ariaria market and other industries are
generates more than 3 billion monthly in VAT.
but If south eastern state generated more than south west or North according to the data you would believe? You guys need total deliverance

Dear Mommy and Daddies, please am not a scammer, I can prove everything I say here beyond all doubt! i won't be doing this if only there's a glimmer of hope. please forgive me, but it seems that I have no choice. I'm typing this with tears in my eyes and with a very heavy heart. I'm doing this for my little girl who is asthmatic, I have exhausted my savings to buy her Seretide inhaler but at this point it has become too expensive to afford. I work two jobs to provide for my family but it never seem to be enough and as it stands I have exhausted all channels with which I can borrow money to buy it. It is sold for 18,500 but anything we can lay our hands on is perfectly okay please. Even 1k will go a long way to keep my baby girl alive please. Please my family, am on my knees, I am pleading for assistance to save my daughters life. I beg you in God's name please.. Any well meaning Nigerian whom God has touched their heart to help us, please help us. May the Almighty GOD bless all you lay your fingers on, amen.

Are you new to Nigeria or what huh huh ?, that is the reality of Nigeria current tax system , VAT are paid to where the company are registered not where the product is consumed, the reason for agitation for tax reform. Lagos take it all, oil headquarters, Mobile network headquarters, Bank headquarters, only access to seaport and international airport and lot more.
Then it's fraudulent. Its not reform but fraud

You’re misinformed. VAT has always been a consumption tax and charged where consumption takes place. The distribution of the VAT revenue when remitted to FAAC is a different issue entirely; which is where the controversy is. Many comments I'm reading here shows people are still ignorant about the Nigerian Tax system….inclusive of those thinking industrial presence alone translates into VAT generation. It’s not a production tax hence the state that consumes more VATable goods generate more. Simple as that.
