Rubbish report!

So there are only 10 states in Nigeria?

Or, are these the only 10 states where VAT is collected and reimbursed?

Being smart by half!

Most of you run into a thread on a social media. Just to comment trashes.
Most companies paying taxes to Lagos State government are not operating there. They only do so cos their heads offices are located there. However, companies who pays major in taxes are oil companies and these Oil companies operates in South South and Southeast states of Nigeria

The ONLY thing they contribute are hoelowshow women and criminal men.

With this tax bill and the result am seeing so far, I support the President fully on this.. Some will want to argue that is all about Lagos but it's not so
If my state Imo, will generate this poor and other states, especially in the south, then it goes to show how lazy and unproductive our governors are and with this bill all of them must sit up.. Any idiot that is against this bill is an enemny of the masses and should be stoned.
You can't tell me with all the SMEs in Aba and even in Anambara they are generating this poor volume in Vat that goes to show it's easy they are been lazy to collect the VAT or they are simply under declaring the actual amount based on the feeding bottle system.

So, President Tinubu must be encouraged to make this bill a reality, let we citizens at least for once start holding our governors to account not all the time FG.. Rubbish!
Are the state govs in charge of collecting VAT

Which kind ignorant rant be dis?

MTN pays the biggest VAT over 200 billion naira monthly to Lagos because there headquarters is in Lagos. They deduct VAT from their customers and remit it to government. Now tell me, is it only Lagos residents that use MTN network? Lagos is cheating the rest of the country and this must stop. We support the new tax reform bill
tax reforms don’t mean Mtn should relocate. Why should it ?

Tax reforms means, generate or collect equivalent of what you generate
Re: What Some States Contributed To The VAT Pool And What They Received - Nov 2024 by ednut1(m): 6:27pm On Dec 19, 2024
The collection formula is faulty and has been adressed by the new tax bill. Vat on phone calls all over Nigeria are attributed to lagos because of head office, dangote cement and sugar consumed all over is also attributed yo head office. Misleading and disingenuous

I advise us to read Taiwo Oyedele's comments on the reason why Lagos has a high figure.

It is solely because of the headquarters of some big companies are based in Lagos. The VATable services of Exonmobile, Shell and Chevron are mostly consumed in the Niger Delta while Lagos is ranked as the source without proper VAT attribution.

Instead of all the stupid stuff you wrote...

Tell MTN to relocate to Enugu where they wouldn't be able to open office on Mondays.

You think MTN weren't smart enough to choose the best site ? Were they forced to ?

I'm sure you claim to be a "graduate". This is what miracle centers do to you...
the new tax bill will be passed soon and will adress this . VAT is a consumption tax , MTN has offices, masts and telecommunications equipment in Enugu. All this one you are saying makes no sense
