What else can we say about this tinubu government, the extent of destruction and decimation of the nation is mind blowing.

Airfare to owerri used be #18,000.00 then,
bus used to be #5,000.00.

Today we are talking about #66,100.00 for bus on a poor road where the passenger can spend up to 17hours on the road for a journey that should not have taken 6hours.

Tinubu has destroyed Nigeria.

May God help us.

Just imagine what this sick government is causing Nigerians? Yet they say they are reforming? You are reforming and things are further falling apart abeg what kind of reform is that? At this rate it might be 100k by next year Kai. What kind of country is this?

SmartPolician:
Transport companies increase their fares almost everywhere in the world to reduce their pressure and discourage people from travelling because almost everyone wants to travel at that time of the year.

As for the increase in fares during the festive season in Nigeria, transport companies argue that passengers tend to only travel out of major cities like Lagos and Abuja, and they always return their buses to such cities empty. As a result, they increase their fares to make up for the loss of returning nearly empty buses to those cities.

In a country where almost nothing is regulated, customers are often the biggest casualties.
but I see the logic in their argument. Travel from the east to lag on 23rd December, u fit enter am 5k now, cos u won't see any passenger

Though inflation is high, this is just too outrageous, you will get to the same destination with far less than that amount if you remove fear from your life and go to berger to board buses with unpopular names sad
A very good friend of mine is currently on this route, from berger Lagos, to Giri Junction Abuja. where I will pick her up... Her fare is 20k, with in town fares, she will spend less than 30k to get to this point.... And she even boarded from the park o.... Those who normally stop bus Infront of redemption camp gets it way less, though with higher risks.

Are you expecting, ₦20,000

Pls consider that it's a private company and also the comfort you alone will enjoy from the journey..

God bless u

Those fools up there ain't seeing d greed, they just want to blame tinubu n once tinubu should do anything about d price of those greedy transport companies they will b d first people to say tinubu wants to kill Igbo man's business
Fuel price is still the same, is the price of bag of rice still the same? The price of chicken? Foodstuff? Dollar?

The problem many of toh Tinubu supporters have is that, you think fuel price alone regulates the price of every single thing, meanwhile the price of dollar is also key. Is Tinubu not increasing tax every chance he gets? You think the increase in VAT will not enter transport companies too? Do you know how much tax they have to pay? Every hundred kilometres, there is another government-sponsored and sanctioned agbero, waiting to extort money from these transport workers. From where will they get that money?

The instability of the dollar alone affects virtually everything in a country that imports virtually everything. So, before you rush to blame transport companies, know that Tinubu's useless policies are sinking the country, and the buck will always stop at his table.

There's actually no law saying you must travel every December.

You can go anytime of the year when it is less saturated and safer.

Abuja to Calabar na 58k. By flight na 160k.

Calabar way I pay 58k return tickets with air peace for 2021.

T-pain I see your hand work..
wink
58k in 2021 is not equivalent to the value of your 58k in 2024. 58k in 2024 HAS LESS purchasing POWER than 58k in 2021. 58k naira in 2024 can command far less Basket of goods than 58k in 2021.

In 2024; $1 is almost 1600naira. Flight is $100 ie about 160k

In 2021; one year after COVID:$1 was around $1= 600naira to 700naira
So your 58k in 2021 was almost same $100 for flight grin grin grin infact l remember converting $100 to around 45k naira Black market in pre COVID year 2019
Na your naira no get any value again . grin grin grin inflation noni grin

In other news; five years time, the flight night still be around $100. but if your useless naira is around say $1=2500 naira or worse by then; Airlines will be charging around 250k for that 160k flight as huna naira only goes up , DEPRECIATES in value and e nor dey ever come down wella APPRECIATE in better value

There's no fuel scarcity, the price is still the same.

GIGM charge #38k as at September even in the first week of December it was still at 42k or so and boom from #58k last week to #66k now.

Fuel price is still the same, so what happened?
Fuel price has actually reduced
